The Morrison Center announces that its three week summer performance camp has reached full enrollment (165 students). The popular program allows students, grades 1-12, to work in an ensemble to create a fully staged musical in just one week.
Four director/instructors from Greater Idaho Family Theater for Youth teach the basics of acting, singing and stage movement while creating the production. In a closely supervised environment, each child has an opportunity to build self-confidence, make new friends, learn new skills and present their accomplishment for friends and families in three performances. This year the program will produce The Magical World of Oz, based on the timeless children's classic tale. The theme picks up on the Morrison Center's recent two-week sold-out run of the Broadway show Wicked.
