I know the show just started previews, but does anyone know if there is a student rush/lottery/anything? Thanks!

There is StudenTix available for it as it is at LCT.

According to the LCT's FAQs online:

"4. Does LCT have student rush?
Yes. $30 student rush tickets are available beginning two hours before a production at the Lincoln Center Theater Box Office (subject to availability). Student rush tickets are limited to one ticket per performance and you must show a valid student ID to purchase a ticket. Please Note: not all performances have student rush tickets. Lincoln Center Theater also has a StudenTix membership program. "

Is this true for South Pacific during previews? Anybody have any word on this? Thanks.

please keep us updated on this anyone who does try this rush! I am on the waiting list for their advance student ticket program, but I doubt that will change anytime soon. I really don't have 65-100 dollars to spend! sigh.

If you get a rush ticket at the Beaumont it will most likely be whatever cancellation seats they have (if any) at that performance.

I wil most likely be trying to rush tomorrow (Tuesday) or Wednesday. If not I've got a code and will purchase ticket. I was Luther Billis in South Pacific last March and they annouced the revival back then. I've been waiting patiently to see this production (and when they announced it I said "I hope Kelli O'Hara is Nellie" when I was reading the article. Honest to God, I really wanted to be Nellie) for over a year. I'm willing to shell out sixty-someodd dollars for this.

I tried rush this weekend and it was sold out. Hopefully something will open up soon, but who knows. Is it sold out for a while? Going to try again Wednesday.

Has anyone tried rush lately? I know it's been selling QUITE well, and the ridiculously good reviews are only going to compound that, but I was wondering if anyone's had any success yet.

I went to the box office in mid-march and they told me....very rudely...."We don't have rush and won't have it for a while...."

Even though I was told by LCT through e-mail that it was available depending on availabilty. So, since it won't be available for "a while" then I guess the show is pretty much sold out for "a while."

With the reviews it received, and the tickets going lightning fast nowadays, I have NO idea of rush will even be considered. They don't NEED to have it ... if there are no seats to be given-up, y'know? We'll see.

Yes, I did. The post before me was from over a month ago. A lot can change from week to week or month to month. I'm just checking if anybody has rushed successfully in the the past month.
