“Come From Away” will close on Oct. 2. It began performances Feb. 18, 2017, and opened March 12, 2017; at the time of its closing it will have had 25 preview performances and 1,670 regular performances at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater.“ -New York Times
Based on the press release they will have played 8 less shows than DEH. An impressive run. I look forward to seeing it one more time when I’m in the city in August to see ITW.
So sad Broadway is losing this titan of a show. Such an incredible piece of work and what a fabulous run (even though I'm still salty that it lost Best Musical in 2017 to a significantly less deserving option).
I'm so grateful we will forever have the incredible recording on Apple TV+.
Well, I'll be buying my ticket for the closing show this weekend.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Farewell, Ganderians. You will be missed!"
I can't. Already crying at the thought of this show closing.

If you’re able to, I would get it now. I can’t imagine there will be much, if any, inventory for the final show by the weekend."
Telecharge removed Oct 1 & 2 performances from the calendar (but still kept everything post-Oct 2)
I checked within minutes of the announcement and noticed that they didn't have a single premium seat for sale. And then the nonpremium seats were getting spotty - they'd disappear and come back (maybe people putting them in their cart but not checking out?). But now you can't buy for closing weekend at all. I'm sure it'll pop back soon up soon. Perhaps they're adjusting the prices.
I won't lie and say I didn't see this coming, but this breaks my heart. CFA has been my absolute favorite show since pretty much the first time I listened to it 5 years ago. I have seen it twice but not on Broadway specifically, so I'm really trying and hoping to make that happen when I'm in NYC this summer.
Please, do whatever you can to experience this masterpiece.
you found your heart but left a part of you behind <3

Is there a chance they’re hoping to extend through Christmas due to popular demand? 10/2 is a random date, and sucks to fall 8 performances short of DEH’s run (I assure you the producers are keenly aware of this).
Yeah, Oct. 1 & 2 unavailable. I'll be checking daily to see if they pop up. Otherwise I'll be there very early that Sunday for a ticket.

With the large following this show has, I wonder if they'll see a bump in sales and potentially extend their closing?

I doubt with the advance notice that the show will extend its closing, but weirder things have happened.
When we got tickets to the last show, there were performances still available past that. I bet the press release just went out before Telecharge was able to make the last week and a half more expensive.

No, I don't think it is sold out. I was refreshing up until they removed it and there were lots of seats left in the mezz and rear orchestra. And October 1st was almost entirely unsold. I really do imagine the last week of performances will pop back up for sale with increased prices.
October 2 is shaping up to be a big day for the Shuberts... as Come From Away closes at the Schoenfeld, Leopoldstadt officially opens at the Longacre.
As for what's next at the Schoenfeld, our trusted real estate source Troynow says Shucked will play there. The new tuner will feature a country-inflected score and uses the TV series "Hee Haw" as its source material.
