If I ended up on Broadway at 7:30 tonight, what would my chance be of getting last minute, inexpensive tickets? Do they release a new batch of tickets at the individual box offices for even lower just before curtain? Would it just be whatevers left over at TKTS?
Your odds are probably trending toward very low. Depending on the show, the box office may stop selling half hour before curtain. You may only have TKTS leftovers

Totally depends on the show and what inventory is left. Sometimes there could be hundreds of unsold tickets to a certain show, due to soft sales, cancellations, house seats that weren't used, etc.
Nothing in particular, I’m honestly open to seeing anything that’s on tonight. I was gonna go to the 7:00 Laura Osnes show at 54 Below tonight but Stephen Colbert taping runs til 7:30 and trying to figure out what to do with my night.
Don't know if you're a student, but Kiss Me Kate sells half priced tickets with a college ID, specifically 30 minutes before a show and no earlier. Any seat in the house that's left.

What did you end up seeing?

Would high school student IDs work? If so, depending on how low tickets get for the show itself, might be a good deal!

I actually made it to the 54 Below show! I was lucky to get out of the show at 6:50 and sprinted over, thank goodness they still had vacancy!
