Also, my predictions:

Best Musical: The Band's Visit

Best Play: Harry Potter

Best Revival of a Musical: Tough call between My Fair Lady and Once on This Island.....I'm gonna say My Fair Lady has the bigger edge though.

Leading Actor in a Play: Andrew Garfield

Leading Actress in a Play: Glenda Jackson

Leading Actor in a Musical: Another tough call with Ethan Slater and Tony Shaloub, but I'm gonna go with Shaloub.

Leading Actress in a Musical: Katrina Lenk

Featured Actor in a Play: Eh, probably Nathan Lane

Featured Actress in a Play: No Angels left unturned. Denise Gough.

Featured Actor in a Musical: Will it be Norbert or Ari'el......I'm gonna say Norbert.

Featured Actress in a Musical: Well first of all Kate Rockwell should have been nominated, but that's a moot point. Seems to boil down to Dame Diana or Lindsay Mendez. My gut tells me that Lindsay will probably take it.

Book of a Musical: Mean Girls

Original Score: The Band's Visit

I think My Fair Lady will get passed over for the most part but will pick up costume design and maybe supporting actor although the voters could reward someone who has never won before.. I think it will be a big night for The Band's Visit, Angels in America, Harry Potter,Justin Peck and Glenda Jackson.

I really want My Fair Lady to take the prize. It's a tight race and I see a lot of support for both My Fair Lady and Once On This Island... but I'm My Fair Lady all the way. However, I'd still be equally as thrilled for the other.

I'm really hoping for Once on this Island, but I think My Fair Lady will take it. I felt that My Fair Lady was just a production of a really great musical. Frankly, other than the ending, I didn't see how this production is any different than the ones that I saw in the 70's and 90's. I didn't feel like Sher did anything radically different with the material. Meanwhile, Once on This Island is completely heightened by a truly remarkable revival. It's what a great revival should be. It really took a so-so musical and made it really spectacular. It reminded me quite a lot of the Color Purple revival. I'd be casting my vote to Once on this Island, especially because while this production of My Fair Lady is very good, it has some major problems and really isn't up to the same quality as Lincoln Center's previous revivals of South Pacific or The King and I or even The Light in the Piazza.

I actually think that Davenport hurts OOTI's chance at a Tony. He really isn't well respected by the community at all really. Unfortunately, I see My Fair Lady winning and Once on this Island setting an August or September closing date.

I feel like I wake up every day with a new winner in mind for Best Actor in a Musical. In my gut, I think it will go to Hadden-Patton, but also Henry is pretty overdue for his Tony. I can't remember being so stumped about an awards category in the recent past.

I appreciate that Once On This Island was powerful for so many (and I did like it), but upon reflection I really do not think it is all that special. An interesting premise produced a somewhat clever staging, but I fail to see it being as revolutionary as some suggest.

I will be absolutely shell shocked if Henry wins Best Actor - where is this momentum coming from? He is the last of the nominees I'd give the award to. Very strange.

In terms of Lead Actor, I'll hardly be shocked if it goes to any of them, which is why that category is so exciting.

For Featured Actor in a Play, I know Nathan Lane is the favorite, but do we think he's an absolute lock? Or could Anthony Boyle take it in an upset?

As much as I'd love Michael Arden to win Best Director just so the remarkable OOTI goes home with something, David Cromer deserves the directing Tony just for saving "Omar Sharif" from being cut.

I thought Boyle was very good, but I cannot imagine Lane losing for an absolutely career best performance. Lane was far superior, IMO. I don't understand why he isn't an absolute unquestionable lock.

I'm not convinced it's Boyle, but I'd put money that between him, Noma, and Jamie Parker, someone will walk away with a win.

He's the only nominee I would be genuinely disappointed seeing win. I can understand a case for all three other actors (even though I'm reaaaaally rooting for Hadden-Paton), but I thought Henry's Billy was straight-up bad.

I need to see it for myself, but if any of the actors actually make the writing of Cursed Child seem like something that actually belongs on a Broadway stage as a play, then the actors deserve all of the accolades. When I read Cursed Child I could not believe how bad it was in terms of dialogue and basic construction and how really unimportant it all felt. Maybe if I wasn't such a Harry Potter fan I could have appreciated it on its own merits, but alas, we have to deal with the cards we've been dealt (or dealt ourselves).

I’m crossing my fingers for Clint Ramos’s brilliant costume design for Once On This Island. I also love David Zinn’s design for SpongeBob. Both are so creative, using found objects to build fully realized, imaginative, larger-than-life characters. Tablecloth skirts, electrical wire headpieces, Coke can demon spikes, rubber glove mermaid tails, tap dancing tentacles... Those are the two designs I’m rooting for.

Respectfully, I thought the costumes were pretty meh. At intermission last time I visited SpongeBob, my friend asked me if they had a local high school theatre group make the costumes.

Costume Design is a slam dunk for Catherine Zuber this year, IMO.
