Few thoughts:

I really love the opening tbh, and it was super cool in the theatre. Just love that little melody.

Also Patti sounded great in the theatre, but this recording is not working for her voice.

I really wish they would have recorded something with the Hidden Folk in the beginning. There's a big piece of the story missing between "A Little Bit of You" and "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" and some of that stuff was sung. Everyone knows the story, but it would have been nice. And I think some of the dance music is missing from "Fixer Upper" but I could be mistaken. Seems like the Hidden Folk got the short end of the stick for the album. Otherwise I think it sounds fantastic. I don't have any issues with Patti's voice and the sound quality is truly spectacular. A step up from the sounds quality on the Aladdin cast album which had some issues for me.

The only problem i have with pattis voice is love is an open door. Also not to take over this thread, but with watching a video of Laura Osnes singing FTFTIF popped up and im in love with her version!

FINALLY!!!! Downloaded and am never going to sleep hahaha! They dropped a Let It Go video too, and I love it! How Caissie Levy didn't get a Tony nomination is beyond me. That girl is a gift from god. She could sing the freaking dictionary and I'd pay to hear it.

I watched the video first then downloaded. I love how they did the video including the ensemble getting ready along with the leads. Plus Caissie just sounds and looks amazing.

I kind of enjoy "When Everything Falls Apart" but it was probably wise to cut it. The funniest part (abdomen) is still in the show and the whole four minute song is basically reduced to a brief reprise of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" in the show and it's probably for the best to keep things moving in the second act. Still fun to have it included on the cast album.

I don't like Patti's voice at all which I'm really sad to say. "For the First Time in Forever" hurts my heart, it's my favorite song but I don't like her voice in that. Jelani and John though, wow!!

don't message me thinking im taylor trensch?? what would he be doing on bww?? you can't possibly be that dumb bye

What are her VOWELS?! It’s like someone asked her to sing it that way. She doesn’t like that on other recordings. Caissie sounds incredible.

I liked Murin's voice in the theatre (her acting, not so much), but agree that she sounds odd (shrill? artificial?) on this recording.

iTunes has a complete your album feature, and typically allows those who bought pre-release singles to apply their purchase toward the album.  However, "True Love" is the only pre-release single that counts toward the purchase of the cast recording album.  The other three songs have been re-recorded and/or remixed ("Dangerous to Dream", "What Do You Know About Love", "Monster" ) for the cast recording.  For "What Do You Know About Love", Murin does sounds notable lighter than the pre-release recording, and the whole song sounds less confrontational.  "Dangerous to Dream" and "Monster" appear to have more background instruments, and the last lines of "Monster" are slightly different in terms of delivery.

I've only seen the Denver closing performance.  I do like the reworked intro "Let the Sun Shine On", as it focuses more on the sisters early on, and still retains much of the original intro "Anna and Elsa" (without the Grand Pabbie introduction).  The addition to "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" with a now grown Anna trying to get Elsa to open the door does show more how both sisters still wish to reconnect (especially Elsa).  The new ending with the reprise of "Let It Go" (with rewritten lyrics) does offer a more complete resolution than the reprise of "Love is a Open Door".

With all due respect, this is a big lush orchestra. Where was the Tony nomination for orchestrations? That was a gross oversight IMO. They sound gorgeous.

I don't feel like it felt big and lush in the theater? I kind of wish the orchestrations had been better. It sounded very bland to me.

Murin's voice/acting in the theater, I thought was fine, and worked for the show, but I've always found her voice to be full tilt "musical theater" which is def. not my thing.

The number of musicians for the album was expanded from 21 to 44. It sounds big and lush on the recording and probably less so in the theatre, though 21 is still pretty big these days.

I think it's more so the sound design these days. It all sounds so tracked and brought in from somewhere else as opposed to sounding live.

Also loving Cassie; how many Tony eligible roles does a girl have to play before she gets a nom?? Hair, Ghost, Les Mis, Frozen, what else?

I feel like Frozen is single handedly trying to teach everyone how to pronounce Hygge properly. Or as they say it: Hygge  Hygge  Hygge   Hygge Hygge  Hygge    Hygge  Hygge  Hygge  Hygge  Hygge  Hygge   Hygge  Hygge  Hygge   Hygge  Hygge  Hygge   Hygge  Hygge  Hygge   Hygge  Hygge  Hygge   Hygge  Hygge  Hygge   Hygge  Hygge  Hygge

There's working; and then there's working well. It would appear that the women and men who have passed through the Nominating Committee over the last several years don't think she's working particularly well.

I'm sure she loves her fans, but I can't help but imagine that she sometimes wishes they would spell her name right (Caissie).

I just listened to snippets of the songs.  A few observations:

Caissie sounds terrific in everything.  I think her voice matches this character extremely well.

One of my favorite moments in the original film was the blending of Anna and Elsa in the For the First Time in Forever reprise, so I was nervous with how it would sound - but Patti and Caissie blend very well, and the orchestra sounded beautiful.

Biggest surprise - how great Fixer Upper sounds.  Does it work as well on stage?

Everything with Olaf was kind of bland, which is unfortunate

Monster is a great song

Jelani Alladin has a wonderful tone in his singing voice.

Yes, I can’t stand Fixer Upper in the movie but it works surprisingly well in the show.

Olaf is my favorite in the movie, can’t stand him in the show.

I think I the best thing in this whole recording is John Riddle’s “I’m only the thirteenth....”

It's probably one of my favorite scenes in the show. Watching Jelani dance is worth the price of admission alone.

I am a huge fan of this show. It is my favorite new musical of the season. That being said, this cast album is colossal let down. It sounds canned and auto tuned. I was so excited to hear this score with the expanded orchestra that they had for the cast album, but this does not sound good. I think the vocals and orchestrations sounds MUCH better in the theatre than they do on the album.
