Frozen Cast Recording  May 11 2018, 01:10:46 AM
I watched the video first then downloaded. I love how they did the video including the ensemble getting ready along with the leads. Plus Caissie just sounds and looks amazing.

I didn't know that since I never saw anything there but Waitress.

She said the only seats she could get were close to the stage, so now I’m worried, since none of us are even close to 6 ft tall! I hate sitting too close to a tall stage & getting a stiff neck. Oh well. We’ll just make the best of it. I’m interested in seeing it as it’s always exciting to see a new show, and I do like the music.&quo

No balcony as people are saying. I sat in the last row of the mezzanine and it was fine. It's a small theatre.

It's part of their own rig and doesn't matter what the actual theater looks like. Its definitely there in all theaters. The OP just didn't see it

Backpacks lately?  May 1 2018, 01:05:42 AM

When I flew out of BWI they used the dogs too and we still had to take off our shoes, jackets and take our electronics out of our bags but flying back from Nashville they used the dogs and we didn't have to. Guess it depends on the airport.

I always have a backpack or messenger bag with me. As long as you comply with the bag search you'll be fine.

They brought in a new swing 2 weeks ago because one of their original swings had surgery on her vocal cords.

Mean Girls Rush/Lottery  Apr 26 2018, 04:25:53 PM
It's kinda weird they dont have a set number of lotto tickets. One time it was 20 when I went. Once it was 19 and another it was 21.

Frozen Seating/Children  Apr 25 2018, 01:03:07 AM
I've seen the show 4 times now and had the screaming children the first time in mid mezz. The second time was final preview which wasn't a bad audience at all. Just wooed a bit too much in Let It Go. The 3rd time I was in the orch and had grown adults talking loudly to each other in French that I politely told to STFU. The 4th time my friend won lotto and we had a girl behind us that coughed for the first 45 minutes of Act 1. However during that show a girl in front of me went into anaphylactic

I've seen Jessie, Sara and Betsy and Sara is the one who makes this one of the great 11 o'clock numbers in recent musical theater history. Jessie and Betsy have amazing voices but their versions lack the strength of character that Sara exudes.

Actually I think "She Used to Be Mine" will eventually join Rose's Turn, I'm Here, Send in the Clowns as classic 11 o'clock nu

Show recs for non-theatre loving hubby  Apr 22 2018, 11:17:43 AM
Why not let him choice something to do. Sounds like you aren't letting him decide on anything. There is a ton of stuff to do in NYC other than theatre.

I got a program, cup, magnet and a coronation pin for $50. It was a deal they tell you if you want a program. I didn't look at anything else since all I wanted was the program.

Was at Frozen today with my students and an understudy took over during Act II, but we couldn't hear the announcement and were sitting so far away that we couldn't tell exactly who it was. I think it was Patti Murin who left because I enjoyed Anna more in the second act (not trying to be disrespectful, it just wasn't my favorite performance), but I could be wrong. Anyone know who it was or what happened?
