Exactly. A week ago. They should have made decisions immediately. Meanwhile I'm trying to call the box office now and it goes straight to busy signal and then just ends the call.

Our performance for Sunday, August 5th was bumped up an hour from 2pm to 1pm, ostensibly for them to add a second performance at 7pm that day (can’t recall if it was just added or always there, but can’t figure why they changed our performance time otherwise). Received two emails regarding the change, as did my friend who bought for the same date. But I haven’t seen any performances later in the run removed, and can’t fathom why they would with so many displaced people needing to potentially rebook.

So devastated. I've really been looking forward to seeing this show, bought my tickets in January and planned a hotel and everything to make it a long weekend, traveling from New Jersey. Maybe ill get to see it when it comes to Broadway.

The final performance on August 19 was changed from 3pm to 7pm. Now I have a conflict. Not sure what I’m going to do yet. At least the exchange would be free since they changed the time of the performance.

They didn't extend an additional two weeks (beyond the original 2 week extension) because there are plenty of tickets available that they are holding back.  If they decreased the prices, demand would increase.  Charging over $200 is criminal for an out-of town tryout.

I have tickets for Thu 7/19, and I was so happy that I escaped the cancellations. Then I get an email that the only Thursday they cancelled is mine. I'm going to try and move a day but I now have to find a hotel close to the original price I reserved in February, and try to change my Amtrak. All of this for nowhere near as good a seat as I bought during the pre-sale. Depending on what I get offered, I may just cancel and just spend a night in Boston sightseeing.

They cancelled the performance on July 11th. That makes me so angry because it starts the day before and is playing the other days I'm in Boston. But, I already have tickets to other things. Does anyone know if A.R.T would allow me to do a performance exchange?

A.R.T will do an exchange for a small fee.  I think $5.  Unfortunately they are completely sold out for the remainder of the run.  I tried getting tickets for any day in the next 4 weeks and there’s no tickets available.

Probably, but last I checked (a day or two ago) the remainder of the JLP run is sold out, so it probably depends on whether they hold back tickets for whatever reason.

And to those with Amtrak bookings, I believe that while most tickets aren't refundable, the funds are reusable (like Southwest), so while you may be subject to a change fee either now or when you use it, you should be able to use most of the money you spent at a later date.

What phone number are people using to get through to change their tickets? I have been calling the number they sent for hours and it is always busy.

Thats awful. I can’t understand their thought process with eliminating additional shows after they’ve finally started the run (or shifting them radically timewise the same day). They already have to deal with the cancellations of those first previews, why compound it by messing even MORE people up down the line? Just a shame. Hoping you are able to sort everything out.

I had tickets for the 29th performance and Jagged Little Pill on the 28th. I was unable to exchange my JLP ticket, and the hotel we booked back in Feb has more than doubled in price. Also, one of our hotels (we were staying a night in Salem) was non-refundable.

We are hoping to rebook the MR ticket but I haven’t been able to get through. But I’m still out for the one hotel and paying double for the other. Ugh.

We had tix for the matinee on 7/29 which is now Opening Night  . . . and now there's no matinee.  Called them up, left our number for them to call back and had a very nice and slightly frazzled box office person move us from halfway back in the Mezz for the matinee to the 2nd row of the Balcony for opening night.  Offered us Row A in the Balcony but we'd rather be in B on the aisle as we know row A there has no legroom

Damn. I, too, have tix for the 19th, too.   However, I got mine thru Show-Score, so I haven't heard anything yet.

And yes....it seems odd to be messing around with later dates in July and any in August.   How very bizarre.

I had tickets to the first preview and after a ton of tries to get through (over 175 times!!), was able to at least get put on hold for almost an hour. They gave me seats that cost $10 more but waived the balance. At first, she told me it was a $12 exchange fee per ticket!!

All in all, I feel very lucky. I’m out the very minor deposit on my accommodations and $65 plane ticket change fee (new flights were actually $10 less). My one friend is unable to come, though, which is very disappointing.

This had better be worth it!!

I may have to try to go in August sometime instead for a weekend. This is absolutely insane. I understand wanting to make up to those going between June 27th & July 10th. But, this new schedule is making it so much worse for more people.

It doesn't make sense....I don't see how cancelling more performances (other than the early previews) has anything to do with the construction issue.

HOpefully I'll hear from Show Score tomorrow.

I mean, how much can the show really improve in less than a month? Seems dumb all around. They'll just have to come back to NYC and do more workshops.

It sucks that the production has to push back opening with so many that planned trips around this show. I'm part of that pool - luckily our tickets are not until 7/14 and like others, we are pairing it with JLP.

Because of a few logistics issues, we've ended up with a pair of tickets for 7/14 - one for JLP and one for MR. I wanted to put them out to you who were affected first before offering them to the regular chat board.

If interested, PM me please. Face value (+fees) for:
7/14 2pm matinee of JLP, seat EE-2
7/14 8pm evening of MR, seat Balcony C18

I’m seeing this & JLP 7/13 and 14, so I’m praying these dates actually happen now. The cancellations of dates makes the construction story basically unbelievable. It sounds like a SPIDER-MAN situation.

The only dates that don't make sense are any changes AFTER previews change.

Really?   Those last rehearsals are often the most valuable. Timing falls into place, nuance is discovered; not to mention actual technical fluidity.

For anyone who is still having a hard time getting through to the box office, I DM’d the theatre on Facebook and had my refund confirmed in like ten minutes. They are super fast on there. I couldn’t even get through on the phone. It would ring twice, Go busy and then hang up.

What's booked next for the theater? Just find it hard to believe they could "extend" a week to make up the two weeks that got cancelled.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

i'm seeing the show on the 20th July and yesterday afternoon got 2 emails: first one had subject title "Ticket Cancellation Notice" which I found odd since as far as I know the performance I was going to was not cancelled. In the body of the email was my original order made back in February. BTW, the fees are so high! Ticket service fee of $5 plus a $14 fee for Moulin Rouge. Total fees for my 2 tickets were $33!

Anyway, The second email was Ticket was a confirmation order email with PDF tix attached... so I guess I'm going! I just found it odd how the first email said ticket cancellation notice.

I really ohpe this works out! We originally picked this date because it was the day before opening night but I guess we'll be seeing it after 1 week of previews.

Is there anything? All the hype has been about this show reopening the theater.
