I'm (perhaps foolishly) considering another trip to the US in early January, although absolutely nothing is set in stone. I would love to see Dear Evan Hansen, but of course tickets are on sale now. This may be a stupid question, but is it fairly easy to resell tickets to DEH on StubHub or another website? And do you expect that that will change significantly if there are cast changes? Obviously I wouldn't be selling them for a profit, just enough to break even.

There are no non-premium seats available for this cast's run (assuming they leave in November), so there will still be demand no matter what.
When I am unsure if I can attend a show, though, I always try and get the best seats possible. Having sixth row, side orchestra aisle for a sold out show is always going to give you a better return than I'm in the back corner of the balcony.
Also, if you want to sell for face, don't use those sites. Just offer it here. trying to do the "right thing" on StubHub, etc., just means some other scalper will buy your cheap tickets, and immediately put them back up at a profit.
Check the StubHub fine print, but I feel like I've seen posts on here before that you can't use StubHub to sell your tix unless you have a US mailing address/credit card? I mean, you could still resell your tix on here, on Craigslist, etc., but just that might be something to consider if it's true.

Thank you for that! I just had a look and while it isn't restricted to US credit cards (Canada and several European countries are on the list), I can't sell with an Australian credit card.
I might do what haterobics suggested and try resell on here instead if necessary.
My friend's flight was delayed last Tuesday (supposed to arrive at 2pm but delayed to 8pm) so I had to resell his dear Evan Hansen ticket. I asked friends first but everyone had plans already! I then went to cancellation line and easily sold it there an hour before the performance.
i think overall it depends on the season too. During busy times (i.e. Summer and holidays) it will be easy to resell. However if it's in Feb or in the fall, it may be harder.
Thanks for everyone's advice! I feel totally insane but I just booked 2 tickets for front row mezz in January without having a single flight or hotel booked or even speaking with my potential travel companion, who has probably not even heard of the show!!!
Oy vey... I couldn't even get onto the ticket page reliably, it kept erroring out.
Oh well. Glad I listened to this board and got tix to Off Broadway last year, even though the tagline was always so vague. "A lie that ignited a blah blah blah" lol.
All my coworkers started recently asking me about it, and I'm like, good luck getting tickets!

Yeah, I suddenly had a freak out at 2am last night and realised that if it won today I would have no chance of getting a ticket so I jumped on my laptop straight away!
Although, DEH's win and seeing my sister's photos of Pandora at Disney World (she's working at Disney for the year, so I would be going to visit her there again first) is convincing me that I will be keeping at least one of the tickets!
Oh, good. Now I get to be one of those smug people who said they saw the original Dear Evan Hansen cast for less than $200 a seat. It was driving me nuts with Hamilton last year, reading about people who saw it in the early days.

I think those are premium/mid-premium ticket prices. If you look far enough out (February and beyond), the cheapest mezzanine seats are $119 before fees.

I can be even more smug saying I saw it for free and for less than $40. But I won't and it was when the show was in DC.
