As a box office manager: please have patience. And PLEASE DEAR GOD do not dispute a charge for any tickets for a non-profit (seeing CSC's Assassins mentioned made me think of this). The limited staff there doesn't need that headache to delay the work of refunding people even further.

Not too long ago, box offices could simply utilize a tool in the backend of their ticketing system to blanket refund entire performances. Due to newer PCI compliance rules with credit card data, this is no longer possible for many theaters. At mine, we have to go through all the orders one by one. I know many others in the industry are doing the same. Depending on how long ago your order was placed, you cc info may also have been purged from the system for your data security. These cases require phone calls in addition to the other work. Some companies have been able to get their staff set up to work from home, others have not (or were forced to lay off box office staff) and all this one-by-one refunding is being done by just a couple people.

If you dispute a charge via your cc company and win the claim, yes you'll get your money back. But on the box office's end, the ticket does not disappear from the system. So they have to go through a write off procedure to clear the ticket out and get their finances to balance. It's not easy, it's time consuming, and will burden small non-profit theater staff even further. Try calling or emailing if you really MUST have the money back immediately. Otherwise please be patient, this stuff is tedious and taking a while, but we are working.

TodayTix still didn't refund my ticket for the April 3 performance of Take Me Out. I followed up twice and received a reply that their operations team is still awaiting refunds from this production.

Honestly, I fully expect Take Me Out to be canceled entirely. It was only supposed to run for two and half months anyways, and Jesse starts filming Grey's in July so there really is no room. Perhaps postponing it until next Spring is their best option.

Just to verify, linctix is $35, right? & it was through telecharge. I forget prices sometimes. But, that was credited back to me. Only waiting to see what Roundabout is doing for Caroline, or Change. And then I have tickets for Company through Todaytix on May 30th. I am not worrying about that quite yet.

Still waiting on my 03/13 performance (the second day of cancellations)..........TDF said they started with 03/12 but clearly many of you with TDF tickets much later have already received refunds and since they don't really respond to email, I may have no choice but to dispute (not sure how long my CC allows you to dispute and already past 30 days since purchase)........

Did anyone have tickets for a show through NYTW? They mentioned nothing in their emails about refunding peoples tickets for Endlings or Sanctuary City. I’ve emailed them twice and have heard nothing back

I really don't want to, but I have a feeling that I am going to end up having to do a CC dispute for my TDF tixs as well - received two emails from them, and they seem to be pushing ( understandably) the donation/ account credit idea -
In better financial times, would gladly
be okay with that, but not with the current financial situation most of us are in - just have a feeling that I might never see a refund

Everyone should absolutely feel free to initiate a credit card dispute, at any time, and if there’s a ticking clock, should do so sooner than later. The only thing to keep in mind is that, in addition to lost revenue, at the time of dispute merchants are charged an additional fee, which averages $25 to $30, for each claim.

But in a case like this, that can be seen as an argument in favor of launching a dispute, since if their refund policy is haphazard or not being done in order of performance date, disputes would ostensibly spur them on to process things in a more efficient manner - which would presumably help other customers in the same boat who haven’t protested to their CC company. And in any case, if they’re repeatedly urging you to donate instead, even after you’ve made your preference clear, that’s annoying and (unfortunately) concerning, so you’re well within your rights to escalate.

Although I realize it's more of a nuisance, given what's been said about the trouble and expense of a dispute to TDF or any other non-profit, it would be a nice thing to give them one more chance, warn them first that you are going to dispute, and see if they respond.

Someone else can clarify because I am not an expert on this, but I believe the federal law is that you have 60 days from the date of the statement that the charge is on to initiate a dispute.  I don't know how the law takes into consideration that you might buy a ticket more than 60 days in advance of a performance.

Anyone heard from Roundabout? I got the blanket email a while ago saying they would be in touch about Options but haven’t heard anything further.

I came here to ask the same question. Curious about my refund for Caroline or Change. I've received refunds from Audience Rewards for Jagged Little Pill (perf. 4/Tickets Refunds and from Lincoln Center for Flying Over Sunset (perf. 4/25). Just waiting on Roundabout for Caroline or Change (Perf. 5/2).

Edited to add: I just called Roundabout and asked for a refund. They asked for my order number and the date I was attending. Then, they informed me they will cancel and put the refund through. They said it can take up to 3 weeks for it to appear back on my card. So, maybe try calling Roundabout.

I was fully credited immediately for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf once it cancelled, and got a pretty quick refund for Birthday Candles from Roundabout. Still waiting to see if Beetlejuice happens - we have tickets for the very last Saturday, but I am not feeling hopeful about it. Once that decision is made, I will have hotel and train reservations to cancel as we were coming from out of town. Tickets Refunds

Took the advice on here to call roundabout directly and it took a couple mins to get them to refund my tickets. Super bummed but who knows when I will make it back to NYC so had to take the refund instead of credit.

I've been waiting for them to reach out since they said they would be contacting everyone. My ticket was for Easter weekend. It and Assassins are the only shows I haven't gotten refunds for.
"

Once Cuomo shut theaters down, I kept calling Hudson until I got a human. She processed the refund immediately & got it w/in a week. That theater is owned by London theater company & they did all they could to drag feet. I also sent an email to their CEO.

That federal law is 60 days. But it's worth a try.

You can dispute a charge older than sixty days.  I have and won.  I currently have a dispute in place for a charge November 2019, for a cancelled May 1 Europe tour.  The tour company is keeping some of my money.  The Government states we can't fly to and from Europe and the tour company cancelled the tour.  Yet think they can keep $320 for a cancellation fee.

I had a ticket for Sanctuary City on 3/20 and I received an email from NYTW weeks ago with a link to a form where you could request a refund or donate the cost of your ticket. My friends who had tickets to shows there received it as well.

Received THE JUNGLE's email this morning; it looks like a blast to all ticket holders, asking which of three options you wish to do.

Is the tour company in the USA or Europe?

Jay, Tour Company is in US.  Gate One Travel.  I have used them for 17 trips prior.

Ticketmaster is still selling tickets for Mean Girls on April 14th... silly. I assume ticket listings will be removed before announcement but maybe that is not the order of things.

TDF has had to lay off so many people, they are hurting so badly. If you can swing it, please donate to them.
