I received an email from Telecharge with my new dates. Just like last time, they're offering online exchanges.  If you go into "My Account" and click on your order number, there will be an "Exchange" button. However, until people start to exchange or return, available seats are somewhat limited during the early part of the run, but get better during the spring and summer. For any other questions or requests, there's a link to fill out a customer service form.

Ironically, I was originally scheduled to see the show tonight. Then I moved to May 18, 2021 and now February 1, 2022. At this point, I think I'm also going to request a refund and then repurchase once I know the show is definitely happening.

My decent seats for the night after opening (something I was able to retain the first time the production’s dates were changed) are now for a preview, the week before. I don’t do previews (which sounds a lot snootier than it is). When I go to the night after opening for new seats, only lesser (though still expensive) seats are available. Not sure why I wasn’t able to retain my seats for the night-after-opening, but it’s a turnoff. I’ve requested a refund, as well. Very disappointing.

Have they made the preview period longer then it was previously? If it's about a week difference perhaps they have built in a extra week of previews there for this is technically the same date picked up and moved it's just that they moved the opening, not your date?

I got my email this morning as well. I was initially supposed to go this Friday, the 23rd THE MUSIC MAN Will Now Start Previews 12/20/21

My new date is Feb 12th 2022, the Saturday 8pm show of opening weekend, which should be cool. The first time they changed the dates, I was switched into a preview show when I'd originally bought a post open date. After some back and forth with tele charge, they switched me out and kept the price the same. If anyone finds themselves in that situation, fill out the form to talk to them and you should be able to work it out.

Has anyone convinced Telecharge that Telecharge shouldn't charge people if the customer wants to change seats?

I was supposed to go on a Friday night and have two seats that are 8th row center.

I now have the same number of seats in the same row on the same day of the week.  However, the tickets are now in the middle of the winter and I want to change the seats to the Spring.  Telecharge's website wants to charge me around 90 dollars a ticket.  I don't want to pay a change fee but am unsure if anyone convince Telecharge to waive the fee.

Yes. The original preview period was 5 weeks. When they rescheduled for spring 2021, they expanded it to 6 weeks. Everyone who had first week post-opening retained first week post-opening. Meanwhile, everyone who had SECOND week post-opening got moved to the new 6th week of previews. Now that they've rescheduled again, they have added a SEVENTH week of previews, and it seems as if the first week post-opening people have now been moved. I didn't mind getting moved to the final week of previews in May, but I'm pretty pissed off about now having to attend the second to last week of previews in January. I have no idea why in both cases they didn't just plan to sell tickets for the new preview weeks, I'm sure they would have sold just fine. I played around with the exchange, but I have two tickets for two performances and I cannot find 2 consecutive performances with comparable seating. I guess I'll just have to sit tight and see if anything pops up.

Hey! Can anyone advise me if changing my $99 Mezz Row E seats 24, 22, 20 to $99 Mezz Row B seats 30, 32, 34 is a good move? Or is the difference pretty minimal? I'm just not sure about the angle in Row B, and A View From My Seat stalking hasn't convinced me.

Thanks for any advice on this :)

The theater has the worst sightlines. Stick to the center of the mezzanine as much as possible, regardless of how close to the stage.

I was initially supposed to see it this Friday. Got an email yesterday that my new date is Thursday, March 17th, 2022. Holding onto my two seats in the Mezzanine, Seats C120 and 121. Hopefully everything will work out this time.

Am I to gather that they are moving people in batches and then sending out new dates? I still have not received any email communications from them. I purchased at the box office and provided my email address at checkout and was autorescheduled last time. I just don’t want to call them if it’s being handled because I am sure a ton of people are and I’ve been where they are. I don’t even care when my tickets actually are. I just want the next iteration of the date. Any guidance will be appreciated.

We just got our email that our new performance date is Jan. 22nd. We're holding tight as we have front row seats in the center mezz and don't want to mess with that.

The call center is closed until further notice, but you can email them at tickets@telecharge.com.

I got rescheduled to the day after Christmas. I requested a refund and will purchase again when things are more certain.

If front row seats are the only reason you are keeping them, I would not rule out re-thinking.  The mezzanine the Winter Garden is about as far from the stage as any(?) Broadway theatre in NYC.  I saw something from the second row center, and we could barely see the faces.

To the person wondering re seats in the low 20s vs low 30s, the low 30 seats will be significantly worse.  Again the sides of the Winter Garden are so wide that there are seats (in the 30s) where you have to bend your head to see the stage fully.  Also, the dance numbers are extremely 'lopsided' and TMM has some big dance numbers.

So, if my seats are C120 (on the aisle) and C121 in the Mezz, you would recommend something else?

Appreciate the insights. We've got a fairly large group, so short of being split up, the chances of us finding anything closer while keeping us together is tough (I checked the ticket search just to see what's out there, and haven't found anything better). We also bought right at the start of presale, so we've seen the prices balloon since then and don't want to wind up paying out even more than we did for our seats. I'll keep an eye out and see if anything pops up though.

I just got an email back from Telecharge.  They said we will have "about 30 days" to either exchange the tickets or refund them.  Also - what was the original reported length of Hugh Jackman's contract?  I thought it was a year.  Telecharge also claimed that this show is a "limited engagement" and will only run through the end of July 2022 - which seems odd.  We originally had tickets for the first weekend of December - got reassigned to July 4th weekend (no thank you!) - so we switched them to mid November - now we got reassigned again - to freaking July and I wanted to move them to fall again - but there are no dates showing up.  I guess I will try to move them to May or June - I do not want to go NYC in the middle of July - I have enough unpleasant heat where I live now.  Has anyone else heard that the show will not only run through July 2022?

I think it's probably too early at this point to know how long the show will run.  Hugh Jackman seems to really want to do it, which I'm sure is one of the many reasons for the rescheduling versus just refunding everyone. I also thought they originally said his contract was for a year.  But 2022 is such a long ways out that he might not even know what his schedule will be.

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't release tickets for any dates after July 2022 until they know for sure they can open.  Once they know that, and his schedule, they'll probably determine if it's truly a limited engagement or if the show will continue once he and Sutton Foster have left the cast whenever their final show is (like Hello Dolly post Bette Midler).

I know what you mean about wanting fall tickets.  When tickets originally went on sale one of the shows I bought tickets for was the week of Thanksgiving, since family usually comes to visit.  That got postponed the first time to a random weekday in June 2021.  We decided to get a refund, and were planning buy tickets for Thanksgiving 2021 if/when they went on sale.  Still hoping it'll be showing in Nov 2022 so they can see it

Last week, I exchanged one of my $99 mezzanine tickets for a $279 center orchestra B 101 on the day before opening, which I'm guessing someone had returned. Now, most of the seats in the first 5 rows of the center orchestra have popped up on Friday, February 4, 2022. Rows BB and A are $269, and rows B and C are $279, in case anyone wants to exchange. Yes, it's a preview, but the show should almost certainly be frozen by then, and critics will likely be there to review it.

Has anyone successfully gotten a refund, since the last date change announcement? I got the email with my new dates on Oct 23, requested a refund the same day, but haven't yet gotten any acknowledgement, or the refund. I checked both my Telecharge account and my credit card. Their page says "Please do not call or email Telecharge.", which I understand, but have filled out the form twice now, and am wondering if they're just backed up, or if I should do something different. Thanks for any info.

I kept my Mezzanine Row A32 which was $99- I do realize the view might not be great but read that row has good leg room. A30 was $209 + fees. Can't be that much different.

However, the question is would this even occur in June 2022 or be postponed again- about how many times can an event be postponed. i.e. I kept Billy Joel tickets now on their third date . At some point artists will retire
