Can you unpack that statement? What are you trying to say? I am unable to decipher how "this argument [could be] fruitless." Your premise is a non-sequitur.

No, it's not. Before the pandemic, he had every intention of evicting a show that was doing well at the box office because he wanted to move his own new show in. Do you think that would have happened had it not been Scott Rudin and had he not had a monopoly on which shows play in the Shubert organization and which shows don't? So I'm saying that the argument that he creates a lot of jobs isn't that strong, because he also has put a lot of people out of a job as well with his strong-arm tactics.

I am not very familiar with this person but he looks like a monster so I would imagine if he is prone to acting up it must be quite frightening.

While I've heard not great things about Roth, I'm not about to do what Trumpers do...fall for unverified information and the "believe me, I know this person" that's been going around with this supposed anonymous person. Do I think this potentially did happen? Likely, yes. Do I have a good few questions? Also yes.

While I am happy that something finally happened, and the reporter / abused who came forward should be proud of what they managed to accomplish, seeing as how Scott has taken no responsibility for these actions in the past.

However, a template apology is not enough. And I assume he will still make money off these shows, just without his name attached?

Caught Sutton on Instagram live. She apologized for not speaking out and is glad Rudin stepped down. Said her and Hugh want the show to have the safest environment possible....

When I read about the potato throwing I couldn’t help but think of some heavy drinking stressed out chefs when they get upset about customers returning food. I have known a few in my time. Seems like Rubin would be wise to sign up for some anger management therapy. Then finding ways to give back. Large donations to the Actor’s fund; things like that. If he has a partner I wonder how they put up with him. I think the situation might say something about the industry as a whole. Behavior like that in other environments would not be tolerated.

I call it now- High Jackman will walk away from this show and it will not happen.

 

more stories of the abusive behaviour are going to come out and there’s no way Jackman will want to have any association with Rudin. Even if he does his pretend ‘stepping back’, it’s still his production, and he’ll profit from that.

 

this whole thing is too toxic now and Jackman is too decent a person to stay on. He doesn’t need it.

Where does she say this?

Jackman dropping out of the production now is basically denying employment to everyone involved with that production. He is THE reason why the show is happening. I think it would be far worse for the people involved if Jackman dropped out.

We will probably get to a point where Rudin refuses his stake in the production or directs it towards charities (and that is probably where Hugh comes into play as leverage); that doesn't stop some of his longtime enablers from profiting, but this is never going to be a perfect situation. And there are a lot of people with blood on their hands in this industry who don't even have an association with Rudin.
