Easton Choral Arts Concert 'On Wings of Song' at Saint Mark's Methodist Church

After two sold-out performances in December, Easton Choral Arts is ready to share its April concert.

Prepare for departure with On Wings of Song, a theatrical concert experience that explores the wonder of human flight - both literal and imagined. Designed to unfold like a journey through the skies, this unique program combines stunning choral music with an in-flight narrative arc (By 2 actual pilots!), guiding the audience from takeoff to turbulence to a triumphant landing.

Repertoire includes jazz-inspired classics like “Come Fly with Me”, classical works by Mendelssohn and Schumann, ethereal works such as Kim Andre Arnesen’s “Flight Song” and Lauridsen’s timeless favorite, “Sure on This Shining Night”.

Gospel, spirituals, poetic meditations, and a newly composed setting of the iconic aviator poem “High Flight” add depth and variety to the journey. The program even includes Christopher Tin’s cinematic “Sogno di Volare”, an epic choral piece from the video game Civilization VI that captures the thrill and awe of boundless exploration.
