STOMP, the international percussion sensation, makes its triumphant return to Washington, playing the National Theatre for a limited engagement February 4 - 9, 2014. The Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway has been a part of The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, a leader in the region's theater community and one of the area's premiere entertainment venues, since 1996 when it opened with an original production of Sleep Beauty. That was the beginning of what would become one of the most popular family entertainment spots in Frederick. To this day, the Children's Theatre at Way Off Broadway is the area's only children's lunch theater, offering a family-friendly meal before each show.

Buoyed by captivated audiences and great reviews, Center Stage's production of A Civil War Christmas has broken the theater's single ticket daily gross record, becoming one of the best-selling shows in the company's 50-year history. As dates fill up for this new holiday classic by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel, an additional performance has been added to closing weekend, on Sunday, December 22 at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are now on sale for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Drama Learning Center in Columbia. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee centers around a fictional spelling bee in Putnam Valley Middle School. Quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by equally quirky grown-ups. The 2005 Broadway production was nominated for six Tony Awards, and won two, including Best Book. As with the original Broadway production, this iteration will also involve audience participation. Select audience members will be brought up on stage to round out the cast as spellers each performance.
