The Baltimore Playwrights Festival Announces Its 29th Season

TThe Baltimore Playwrights Festival announces its 29th Season of new plays by Maryland playwrights. This year, The BPF will present six full length plays at four theaters from June through August.

The Season opens on June 25th with the Fells Point Corner Theater production of Kathleen Barber's "In The Shadow of Lushan." and continues on July 8th with the opening of Susan Middaugh's "The Black Widows", presented by the Theatrical Mining Company at the College of Notre Dame.

The Vagabond Player's production of David Allyn's new comedy "Commencement" opens July 16. August 6nd sees the opening of Fells Point Corner's second Festival production, "Scorpions" by Festival veteran Mark Scharf.

The Festival closes its 29th season on August 12th with a double opening, "Hammarskjold" a psychological drama by Fr. Ronald McKinney, SJ at The Audrey Herman Spotlighters Theater and Ken Greller's "This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" presented by the Theatrical Mining Company at the College of Notre Dame.
