Beginning October 8, Roundabout Theatre Company will present the Tony Award nominated and Olivier Award-winning musical Caroline, or Change, starring three-time Olivier Award winner Sharon D Clarke in the title role.

Years after an unspeakable tragedy tore their lives apart, two sets of parents (Jason Isaacs and Martha Plimpton, Reed Birney and Ann Dowd) agree to talk privately in an attempt to move forward. In Fran Kranz’s writing and directing debut, he thoughtfully examines their journey of grief, anger and acceptance by coming face-to-face with the ones who have been left behind.

For the first episode of Season 2, the show welcomes Disney Theatrical Group's President, Thomas Schumacher. Thomas has been the central figure behind Disney on Broadway's smash hit musicals such as The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin and more.

Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is rollin' back to Broadway! Rehearsals are underway for the Tony-nominated hit, which is led by Adrienne Warren in the title role, with Daniel J. Watts as Ike, Dawnn Lewis as Zelma, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe as Tina Turner at some performances, Tony Award nominee Myra Lucretia Taylor as Gran Georgeanna and Jessica Rush as Rhonda.

Nineteen months after the band’s last performance together, David Byrne’s American Utopia returned to the live stage this evening – Friday, September 17 – at the St. James Theatre on Broadway (246 West 44th Street).

xDear Evan Hansen hits the big screen in just days, and while the film adaptation comes complete with most of its Tony-winning score, fans will also get to enjoy two new songs! One of them is performed by Alana, played by Amandla Stenberg.

New City Music Theatre, formerly Cleveland Musical Theatre, held the first production under its new name and reinvigorated mission on Thursday, August 26 when it presented Jason Robert Brown’s seminal work Songs for a New World. Reimagined through a contemporary storytelling lens and performed by an expanded, star-studded cast including Liz Calloway, Jason Gotay, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Mary Kate Morrissey, and Ximone Rose, among others, at Radial Park at Halletts Point in Queens.

The live performance was filmed at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre this past May in New York City, where the Broadway production is staged, for an audience that included 9/11 survivors and front-line workers; and, employed over 200 people including members of the Broadway crew, staff and creative teams.

The Broadway cast of Aladdin began rehearsals this week for the company’s reopening later this month. As previously announced, Aladdin will resume performances on Tuesday, September 28 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.
