Strawberry Fuzz returns with the follow-up to a teaser, a full-length LP entitled Strongs Dr., out now via CandyShop Recordings. Featuring the three songs on that initial teaser, previously released singles ('No Lighter,' 'Talk,' and 'Sugar'), and more new tracks, Strongs Dr. is a continuation of the Cali surf-punk exhibited on their past releases.

Inspired by similar artists like Rufus Du Sol and Hayden James – the latter of whom helped Cadence polish the track’s final details – “Be What I Need” shows Cadence coming into his own as a songwriter, primed with real potential for crossover outside of the dance music space.

Inspired by an impending hurricane, the song draws parallels between a literal storm and a troubled relationship back home, before the listener is carried out like a raft on guitarist Brian Venable’s ripping guitar solo. The band has also announced two album release shows on February 24 in Memphis at Hernando’s Hide-A-Way.

One of Irelands’ most exciting rising talents, Nell Mescal kicks off her year with new single ‘Homesick’, released now via LAB Records. New England-based songwriter and guitarist, Savoir Faire, has returned with a jazz-inspired and powerful single, “How’s It Supposed To Feel.” Savior Faire wrote and performed the song from the viewpoint of an essential employee working during a national health crisis. “How’s It Supposed To Feel” is available now on all digital platforms.

Begonia—the solo project of Canadian artist Alexa Dirks—unveils a new song, “Married By Elvis,” with a video directed by Ryan Steel. The album was written and produced by Begonia, Matt Peters and Matthew Schellenberg (Royal Canoe) with contributions from Jason Agel (Björk, Kelly Clarkson, Prince) and Joe LaPorta (FKA twigs, beabadoobee, Solange).

With verses that quickly build up to a hard-hitting chorus and wicked guitar riffs, “War” takes listeners on a journey through a cautionary tale of revenge. The accompanying music video is quintessential Story Of The Year, full of humor and personality, featuring the guys putting on the acting performance of a lifetime.

While Bayonne wrote and recorded his first two albums in solitude, he took to a more collaborative approach with his third full-length, bringing in outside ideas via co-production credits with Jon Joseph and fellow Austin native Danny Reisch, who also mixed the record. He also releases a psychedelic new single and video “Right Thing.”

“Tramp Like You,” the album’s opener, is a suitably epic return, combining their classic dream-pop balladry, ear-worm melodies and cryptic lyrical turns of phrase emblematic of the troubadour spirit. The video - shot on 16mm film in the Agafay desert in Morocco - shows the artistic vision of the group, expanding the Oracle Sisters’ mythos further.

Across the album’s ten tracks the band builds a shrine to minutiae. Half-funny, half-tragic dispatches from North Carolina unfurling somewhere between the wailing skuzz of Nineties shoegaze and classic country twang, with distorted pedal steel and Karly Hartzman’s voice slicing through the din.

Recently, the band was added to 38 Spotify Editorial playlists and was just named by The Sun as one of their “23 for 23.” They have shared the album’s title track and its accompanying music video, which features electrifying live footage from the band’s recent North American headline tour.
