“Record Breaker Week” continues on “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” and this morning's record-breaking attempt was the icing on the cake, as Cake Boss Buddy Valastro crushed the Guinness World Records title for Most cupcakes iced/frosted in one minute. Valastro and hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest all faced off in the challenge, with the Cake Boss ultimately coming out on top after icing an impressive 36 cupcakes. The previous record of 20 cupcakes was held by Valastro himself.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today it has renewed for a fifth season Ava DuVernay's critically acclaimed drama series “Queen Sugar” to air in 2020. Produced by Warner Horizon Scripted Television, “Queen Sugar” has been lauded for its powerful portrayal of an African-American family in the Deep South and for DuVernay's initiative since the series' inception to hire an inclusive crew and all-female directing team, many of whom were first time TV directors. Current season four showrunner Anthony Sparks returns for the fifth season. 

Multi-GRAMMY nominated and multi-platinum singer/songwriter/producer Charlie Puth has unveiled his second new release of the year, “Mother” – available now via Atlantic Records alongside a Dawit N.M.-directed video companion. Dateline NBC will launch the series' first ever true-crime original podcast hosted by Keith Morrison to kick off Dateline's 28th season. The six-episode series, The Thing About Pam, debuts September 18 and features the unbelievable story of how the murder of Betsy Faria set off a chain of events that would leave one man dead, another man implicated and a diabolical scheme exposed.

Chicago-based post-punk trio Luggage have announced the release of their third full-length, Shift, due out on November 22nd.  Recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago with Matthew Barnhart (Shearwater, The New Year) handling the engineering duties, the album was recorded almost entirely live (with the exception of vocals and a few minor overdubbed embellishments). As a result, Shift bears Electrical Audio's trademark hi-fidelity perfection and organic purity. The band members' disciplined restraint and frequency-specific contributions allow the listener to hear every instrument, every nuance, and every tonal deviation. The calculated limitations on Shift not only serve to capture Luggage in their purest state, they capture the entire essence of Chicago.
