Marietta St.) and the Essential Theatre Festival celebrates its 12th year by offering $12 rush tickets before each of its productions during the festival, taking place July 8th to August 8th. There are only 12 rush tickets available and they will go on sale 12 minutes before each performance.

PushPush Produces Original Stage-to-Screen Comedy Series, 'Slow Down Atlanta'

This fall, PushPush Theater will begin a new and unique project, 'Slow Down Atlanta,' an original episodic series about a group of out-of-work stooges who've started their own paranormal services company. PushPush will stage the first episodes of the series live before beginning to film the episodes for digital broadcasting and distribution. Utilizing some of Atlanta's top talent in film, theater and improv, the first episodes will be presented to live audiences in August, with the first online broadcast set for the end of 2010. This series will pave the way for a new international project aimed at filming in Berlin and Atlanta.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will kick off an Independence Day weekend of music entertainment at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park, the Orchestra's summer home, beginning Thursday, July 1, 2010, at 8:00 p.m.* The Orchestra, led by conductor Bridget Michele Reischl, will perform patriotic sing-alongs with the U.S. Army Field Band Chorus, Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, and feature post-concert fireworks.

The legendary Liza Minnelli, who was recently seen on the big screen in 'Sex and the City 2,' has returned to the concert stage in a brand new show. Liza will be performing through the end of the year with a sextet that will occasionally play with symphony orchestras. The centerpiece of the program will be Liza's spotlight on the material found on her new CD, 'Confessions,' which will be released by Decca on September 21. The first stop on Minnelli's new tour was a date with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra on June 5. A complete list of tour dates is below.
