VIDEO: Matt Bogart, Lianne Marie Dobbs and Michael McCormick Perform Selections From HIMSELF AND NORA

With his starring roles in MISS SAIGON, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE, AIDA and JERSEY BOYS, Broadway audiences are used to seeing Matt Bogart playing rocker types. But now he's playing a more literary bad boy in Jonathan Brielle's Off-Broadway musical, HIMSELF AND NORA.

Opposite Whitney Bashor, Bogart plays the controversial novelist James Joyce, who is inspired by country girl Nora's cunning wit and alluring sexuality.

On WPIX News, Bogart sings the passionate "Always in Love." Also on hand are Lianne Marie Dobbs and Michael McCormick, who play multiple roles in the show. Here, they're patron Harriet Weaver and poet Ezra Pound performing the vaudevillian "Weaver and Pound."

Himself and Nora, directed by Michael Bush, produced by Cherie King and executive produced by R. Erin Craig, is currently performing at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, between Sixth Avenue and MacDougal Street).

The full cast of the new musical Himself and Nora, with book, music, and lyrics by Jonathan Brielle, features Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys) as James Joyce and Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County) as Nora, Michael McCormick (Chaplin), Zachary Prince (Honeymoon In Vegas),Lianne Marie Dobbs (A Tree Grows In Brooklyn), Victoria Huston-Elem (The Addams FamilyNat'l Tour) and Gary Troy (Les Miserables).

It was one of the world's great romances. She was the country girl from Galway whose burning sexuality and acerbic wit inspired the genius of James Joyce. Himself and Nora is a passionate musical that reveals the private life of one of modern literature's most controversial figures and illustrates the untold story of Joyce's lifelong love and muse Nora.
