Comedian Colin Quinn NBC's TONIGHT SHOW to talk about his new Jerry Seinfeld-directed play, Colin Quinn The New York Story, based on his book about race relations.

The new comedy, written by and starring Quinn, is based on his book The Coloring Book (Grand Central Publishing) and will play The Cherry Lane Theatre, (38 Commerce Street) beginning July 9th with the official opening scheduled for July 23rd. Watch clips from the appearance below!

In Colin Quinn The New York Story, Colin bemoans the rise and fall of his hometown, the city formally known as NY from its modest beginnings as Dutch outpost to the hipsters of modern Williamsburg to the vermin below and above ground. Quinn is once again at his satirical best, taking aim at the prejudices, paranoias and peculiarities that make New York City the crossroads of the world.

Directed by Jerry Seinfeld, who directed Colin in his Broadway showColin Quinn Long StoryShort,Colin Quinn The New York Story has set design by James Fauvell, costume design by Alexis Forte, and lighting design by Sarah Lurie.

Colin Quinn The New York Story marks Colin's return to the New York stage after his acclaimed off-Broadway showColin Quinn Unconstitutional, for which he also toured the country, and his Broadway engagement of Long Story Short, for which he was nominated for the Drama Desk Award as well as an Emmy Award for the HBO broadcast of the play.

Tickets for Colin Quinn The New York Story are $55 (previews) and $65 (after opening) with premium seating available. Colin Quinn The New York Story plays Tuesday-Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 5pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 3pm and 7pm. There will also be an added performance on Monday, June 20th at 8pm.
