Directed by Debbi Burdett.Vocalist Gregory Nalbone made his mark on diverse NYC stages such as Birdland, The Iguana V.I.P. Lounge, Don't Tell Mama, La Mediterranée, and Comix. In 2011, his solo forays in shows at The Duplex (Share the Moment; Share the Moment, ENCORE!) were both huge successes, and he premiered at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (Songs From the Heart), The Triad (Erotic Broadway /Vintage Variety), and made his Metropolitan Room debut (Love is in the Air: Songs of Romance & Passion) to a full house on Superbowl Sunday! With her long-time music director Russ Kassoff on piano, Constant artfully explores the cultural differences between France and America as she liberally indulges her twin passions - popular song from the 50's, 60's and70's from both sides of the Atlantic.
In his review of Constant's previous show last May, Stephen Holden of The New York Times called her "an ageless beauty (...) whose approach to songs is wise, knowing and dry." Cathy Taylor: A native Texan, I grew up in the land of big hair, beauty pageants, firearms and cheerleading. I've been a high school teacher, a bank teller, a waitress, a corporate cashier, a store clerk and a temp. I've worked in the corporate world ? everything from answering phones to moving money. I've been a singer, a comic, an actress, a writer and a dreamer. I run. I write. I sing. I worry. Ironically, moving to NYC from Texas took me off the stage and away from performing... for awhile. I lived through my own musical-theatre period, detoured through stand up comedy only to end up doing hybrid cabaret. Insane emotional road trips have driven me through numerous fallow periods of no performing... just life. Turns out, those have been my most-fertile times as an artist. I've lived through 9/11, blizzards and black-outs. I started distance running when I hit middle age, zealously running toward some things and running away from others. I completed seven of the world's top-ten marathons (yes, an entire 26.2 miles). Though not particularly fast, I finishEd Strong every time. Ironically, I found no answers... just more questions. Driven, but mostly clueless, about my destination. Many detours and many adventures! $25

Russian Radio , TV and on stage. His TV shows featured many legendary
singers including B.B. King, James Brown, Connie Francis, Keely Smith,
Andy Willliams, Donna Summer, Engelbert, Gloria Gaynor , and many
others.
Oleg just released his first American CD "Bring Me Sunshine" recorded
at the legendary Capitol Studios in LA and with the Patrick Williams
Big Band. Al Schmitt was the sound producer of the album. This is a
tribute to the Great American Songbook legends. Very positive and
very swinging.
Oleg Frish knows thousands of American and Russian songs and he was
called "a human jukebox". This is also a part of his show.$20

11/14, 16 @ 9:30 PM Marissa Mulder "Look to Your Heart "The songs of Jimmy Van Heusen
MetroStar winner Marissa Mulder is thrilled to be bringing back her show "Look To Your Heart" the songs of Jimmy Van Heusen on Wednesday, November 16th and Wednesday, December 14th both at 9:30pm .Like Marissa, Composer Jimmy Van Heusen was from Syracuse, New York. He came to New York City in the early 1930's and went on to become one of the most successful songwriters of all time. He won four " Oscars" and one Emmy for his work. He wrote the music for twenty three Bing Crosby films including the music for the film "Going My Way" which won him his first Oscar for the song " Swinging On A Star". He wrote more songs recorded by Frank Sinatra than any other composer. He owned several of his own airplanes and created a lot of mischief starting at a young age. Marissa explores the different aspects of Van Heusen as a person as well as the wide emotional range of his music, from the swinging "Ring-a- Ding Ding" to tender ballads like "Sunday, Monday, or Always". Her musical director is Bill Zeffiro and her director is Karen Oberlin. She will be joined by John Loehrke on bass and Rex Benincasa on drums.

11/16 @ 7:00 PM Anthony Cochran Anthony Cochran returns to the Metropolitan Room after a successful run with his show LIVES-PRESLEY, for which he won a Bistro award. In this new show, Cochran and long time Musical Director, MAC award winner Daryl Kojak, will offer up an exciting & mixed bag of blues, folk, rock, and a standard or two. With Kojak's fantastic arrangements, this promises to be a stellar evening.$15
11/19 @ 7:00 PM Lauren Fox Lauren Fox: Lauren Fox is a New York City born-and-raised actress, singer, writer and restaurateur. Last January, Lauren was in the off-Broadway show Hillbilly Women. Her performance as Appalachian factory worker, Sharleen, won critical praise from The New York Times. Some of her film credits include Darren Aronofsky's Pi, Noon Blue Apples (Sundance 2002 premiere), Revolution Summer, Standing on Fishes, and the upcoming films, Hamill and We Need To Talk About Kevin. Television credits include New Amsterdam and Fringe. Lauren had a five show run of her debut cabaret show, Here's To Love, at the Metropolitan Room, last winter. Her screenplay, Atlas Of The Soul, is in development with Lauren set to play the lead role, under the direction of Raul Esparza. This fall, Lauren will try her hand at directing a short film, In God's Fields, based on the short story by her father.$20
