Newfilmmakers presents Roman's Bride- A film by Michael and Anne Paul

Roman's Bride' tells the story of Lily Heller (Anne Paul), a lonely Iowan torn between a repressive faith and an unrequited love for life-long neighbor Roman. Indulged in her world only by doting childhood friend Amos, Lily exists in a self-restricted isolation. When Roman and his girlfriend announce plans to marry, Lily's fragile psyche collides fiercely with an immorality she sees permeating her world.

The Phoenix Fear Film Festival describes this award winning film from husband and wife filmmakers, Michael and Anne Paul, as painting "a disturbing picture located at the intersection of religious morality, sexual tension and rural isolation... Anne Paul, who also wrote the screenplay, gives a startling performance as Lily, combining fragility and cruelty in her portrayal of a badly-damaged psyche."

Filmmakers Michael and Anne Paul will be attending this New York premiere and sponsoring a party prior to the showing. All are welcome.

Tickets for the evening at NewFilmmakers NY, are only $6 and are available at the Anthology Box Office the night of screening.
