Mondays DArk Theatre Company ("Mondays Dark"), a new, New York City-based theatre group, will host its first-ever Winter Gala on Monday, December 12 at The Alger House in Manhattan to raise funds to support the company's 2012 productions.

Founded by theatre enthusiasts Kenny Howard (current producer of the Broadway productions of Bonnie & Clyde and Evita), Rob Hinderliter, Dominick LaRuffa, Jr. and Anthony Johnson, Mondays Dark is a not-for-profit theatre company dedicated to the development of new talent - writers, directors, designers and actors - as well as producing new works that provoke, inspire and entertain audiences.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to foster the creative development of emerging artists in variety of artistic disciplines," said Kenny Howard, Mondays Dark co-founder and resident director. "In our first season, we look forward to introducing theatre audiences to these incredibly talented artists and their work."

"New York is the theatre capital of the world and we believe there's room within the vibrant theatre community to create new works and portray classic stories in ways that even the most seasoned theatre aficionados have never seen before," said Anthony Johnson, Mondays Dark co-founder and artistic director.

Mondays Dark will announce its 2012 season productions at the Winter Gala on December 12. The event will include cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction and live entertainment. Tickets start at $40 and can be purchased at www.mondaysdark.org.
