MTV's Apollo Poetry Releases MARCH ON: An Occupy Wall Street Tribute Poem

By: Oct. 10, 2011

Activist & Poet, Apollo Poetry, has released the anticipated video "March On", a tribute inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement. Apollo is also the Public Spokesperson for Occupy Phoenix and has taken an active role in spreading this message to the masses via social media.

Youtube & Facebook has been instrumental in the movement. It has served as a tool to accept the donations which feed the occupiers, to organize global protests, and to connect the inspirational artists who are providing the much needed fuel for the weary-protestors, who have been sleeping outside for weeks under weather conditions which are bound to get worse with time.

"March On" is a video and photo montage which recaps the last few weeks of a youth-led movement and projects a future vision of global peace. Apollo states, "The greed and irresponsibility of a select few have created negative consequences on the majority. It is up to us as a people to fully realize our power. We must first spread awareness of what the issues are. Then, and only then, will we be able to work together in creating a more sustainable future. This is well beyond Left vs Right, Democrat vs Republican, or any other duality and misconceptions they try to sell you. This is a movement unlike any other in our history. March on!"

Apollo is also the founder of the Traveling Poet Project, a non-profit which uses media as a tool to spread global awareness.
