According to the Tony Awards website, Taye Diggs and Jane Krakowski will appear at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in Lincoln Center on Tuesday morning, May 15 to announce the nominations for the American Theatre Wing's 61st annual Tony Awards.

Diggs and Krakowski will read the list of artists and productions recognized in the 25 competitive Tony categories, and announce other honors such as special Tony Awards. The Nominations Announcement event is sponsored by IBM.

Diggs made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning 1994 revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical Carousel. He later created the role of Benny, the landlord, in the 1996 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Rent, as well as in the show's recent film version. He is set to star in "Private Practice," the forthcoming spinoff of TV's "Grey's Anatomy."  He has also appeared on Broadway in Wicked and Chicago, as well as in numerous films.

Krakowski's numerous Broadway appearances include the role of Carla in the 2003 production of Nine, for which she won a Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She won an Olivier Award in London for her performance as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. Her television work includes a six-year stint as Elaine on "Ally McBeal."  Other Broadway credits include Once Upon a Mattress, Tartuffe, Company, Face Value, Grand Hotel and Starlight Express.

TonyAwards.com will post the nominations as soon as they are announced.  The website will also offer audio and video podcasts of the event, courtesy of NY1 News.
