Ars Nova presents, as part of the Out Loud series, a FREE reading of LIQUIDATION PLAY by Sarah Burgess, directed by Mike Donahue. The cast includes Dylan Baker, Mike DiSalvo, Jessica Love and Ben Rappaport.
When a family-owned suitcase company accepts a buyout from a Manhattan private equity firm, it seems like a win-win situation. But secret ambitions, philosophical clashes, and media scrutiny ensure that no one is working with the same information.
Sarah Burgess's plays include Earthsiege: Commence (Steep Theatre workshop, Chicago; Naked Angels' First Mondays, New York), FAIL: Failures (ANT Fest), Camdenside (The Ground Floor 2013, Berkeley Rep) and Liquidation Play (Out Loud workshop, Ars Nova). Sarah was a writer for The Tenant (Woodshed Collective), The Living Newspaper (Joe's Pub, New York), and "Naked Radio," Naked Angels' monthly podcast series. In 2013, she was a member of The Working Farm at SPACE on Ryder Farm. Sarah is a second year member of Ars Nova's Play Group. BFA NYU Film - 2007 Faculty Commendation for Body of Work.
