Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead follows two minor characters from Shakespeare's Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, as they wake up to find themselves inside the play of Shakespeare's Hamlet from their own bewildered, absurdist perspective. The characters from Hamlet rift through the black comedy while the leads try to understand theater, life, and death. The play that made the legendary Tom Stoppard a world-class star, it's as fresh today as when written 60 years ago. Santa Fe Classic Theater presents a staged reading February 27-28.
