Songwriter Hal David Teaches Master Class At NYU, Open To Public

Acclaimed lyricist and songwriter Hal David will present a master class at New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development on Monday, February 22 at 6:45 p.m. in the Frederick Loewe Theatre, 35 West 4th Street. Admission is free. Reservations can be made by emailing steinhardt.boxoffice@nyu.edu.

Hal David received an Academy Award for the song "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head." His many other hits include "Alfie," "I'll Never Fall in Love Again," "Do You Know the Way to San Jose," "Walk on By," "What the World Needs Now is Love," "I Say a Little Prayer," "The Look of Love," "To All The Girls I've Loved Before," and "What's New Pussy Cat." He is a multi-Grammy winner and was nominated for a Tony Award for Promises, Promises, which is returning to Broadway this spring in a new production starring Kristin Chenoweth.

David will be discussing his compositional processes and career with lyricist and NYU Steinhardt songwriting faculty member, Phil Galdston.
