Thursday night May 11th, BroadwayWorld.com raised the roof at Tony's DiNapoli in the heart of Times Square. As shows let out and the rain started to fall nothing could dampen spirits on the 3rd Year Anniversary Celebration of our favorite Broadway site. Family, friends and supporters came to toast Rob Diamond (founder and Editor-in-Chief) and his popular site, BroadwayWorld.com, in a fun and low-key celebration with all that great Tony's DiNapoli food and, of course, plenty of cocktails!

The guests were treated to a retrospective video presentation of the accomplishments and many special moments BroadwayWorld.com has had over the years...particularly highlights from their popular 'Standing Ovations' series, which they produce to benefit Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. The affectionate piece was put together by Craig Brockman, and the soundtrack was provided by the late, great Ethel Merman belting out her disco version of 'There's No Business Like Show Business' to the delight of the audience.

But the scene stealer was the opening segment, given to BroadwayWorld.com in their first year, by Marc Shaiman (Hairspray, Martin Short's Fame Becomes Me) with a hilarious rendition of 'Pick a Little, Talk a Little,' from The Music Man and 'Good Morning Baltimore' ('Good Morning BroadwayWorld') that was hilarious, with specialty lyrics and a cast of thousands - all played by Shaiman as various posters on the popular theatre community web site.

Revelers closed the restaurant and moved on to an undisclosed location to continue the celebration into the wee hours. Here are some great pictures to share with you of what was a very special evening.
