The cast will feature (in alphabetical order): Reed Birney (Stuff Happens, Obie Award-winner for Bug) as Gavin DeChamblay, Barbara Bryne (Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods) as Maude Bentley, Maxwell Caulfield (Tryst, An Inspector Calls, Grease 2, "Dynasty") as Harry Hawk, Ann Duquesnay (Hot Feet, Tony Award-winner for Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk) as Madame Wu-Chan, J.R. Horne (The Crucible, The Skin of Our Teeth) as Major Hopwood, Kate Mulgrew (Tea at Five, "Star Trek: Voyager") as Laura Keene, Kristine Nielsen (Based on a Totally True Story, Obie Award-winner for Betty's Summer Vacation) as Verbena Morris, Amy Rutberg as Clementine Smith, and Billy Wheelan as W.J. Charles Busch (The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Psycho Beach Party, Vampires Lesbians of Sodom) returns to Manhattan Theatre Club with a truly original play about the theatre. "Laura Keene (Mulgrew), a 19th century American stage luminary, prepares to perform at Ford's Theatre on the fateful night when Abraham Lincoln is in the audience. This new play captures the magic of the theatre as only Charles Busch can," press notes state.

Meadow staged (among many other productions) the hit production of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, which subsequently transferred to Broadway and had a celebrated run at the Barrymore Theatre.

The design team will feature: Santo Loquasto (Set Design), Jane Greenwood (Costume Design), Brian MacDevitt (Lighting Design), and Scott Lehrer (Sound Design).
