by BWW News Desk - Mar 29, 2015

Bubba is out on one of his undersea adventures when he finds a frightened Orca trapped by a fishing net. In this attention gripping yet comical tale, Bubba works with his buddy Sammy the Seagull to free Ollie. Come along and join Bubba the Bottlenose dolphin as he makes a new buddy while sharing a day they won't Soon forget. "Ollie the Orca" is available in print and ebook formats. Book Details: Ollie the Orca By Laura Maw Published: October 2014 ISBN: 978-0992115128 (paperback) ISBN: 978-0992115135 (ebook) ASIN: B00OUFFTSO Pages: 32 Genre: Children's Picture Book About The Author: When Laura Maw was a child, her favourite activities were going to the ocean and picking out another stack of books from the library. She loved reading from a very young age and could never seem to satisfy her craving for another new adventure, another new imagination landscape. Writing is a passion that seemed to come naturally with her love of reading. She too wanted to be able to help someone through a bad day, or to have a unique and thrilling experience on a good day, through the written communication of a story. She has a very vivid imagination that often takes her on wondrous adventures in her dreams. In fact, the idea for Bubba's Balloon (ISBN: 978-0992115104) came to her in the form of a very funny dream. She woke up laughing and felt that it was a story that must be shared with others. The character of Ollie was even developed through daydreaming about Bubba's adventures. Laura Maw has a B.A. Honours Degree in Mass Communication with a Minor in Psychology and a Minor in Philosophy from Carleton University. Currently, she lives on Vancouver Island with her husband and Tuxedo kitty. She has also lived in Ontario and her childhood was in Nova Scotia. Laura feels truly blessed to have lived on both of Canada's beautiful coasts. (more...)

Launching the careers of a then-unknown set of teenagers, lots has happened to the cast since the last film wrapped in 2008. Much of the cast has continued in the musical tradition of the trilogy, taking on various roles in other musicals on stage and screen. Later this Spring, Vanessa Hudgens will become the second of the group to make her Broadway debut, as the title character in Gigi. In honor of her big debut, BroadwayWorld is recapping you on what's been up with the rest of the gang since Senior Year! (more...)
