The first Broadway revival of the 1982 Tony Award?-winning musical based on the classic film 8 1/2. Antonio Banderas, Laura Benanti, Jane Krakowski, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Chita Rivera lead the cast.



Nine revolves around one central character, Guido Contini (played by Banderas in his Broadway debut), a film director in the Fellini mold. He is contracted to write and direct a film, but is unable to come up with a suitable plot. After recent box office failures, he finds himself drifting towards a nervous breakdown. Guido finds himself examining his past flawed relationships with the many women who have come through his life and the struggle to act his mature age of 40--as opposed to nine.

The 2016 season of Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) culminated during three days in April at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). On April 27th, the Final Round of this celebrated international competition proved to be a heartening display of youthful promise. Then on April 28th and 29th, the "Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow" Gala featured the 2016 YAGP finalists along with a roster of top-flight professionals. After a brief stint at Florida State, Sterling was cast in the national tour of Fosse and never looked back. Orange County, Calif.—April 25, 2016—In its triumphant season finale, Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra (PSYO) gears up to embark on an international tour of China in June by performing a program that ranges from 19th-century masterpieces to a brand new work by one of today's leading composers. Energized from a season of artistic achievement, the orchestra opens the concert with “Lighter Than Air,” a newly commissioned work by the Symphony's composer-in-residence, Narong Prangcharoen, and ends with Tchaikovsky's dramatic Symphony No. 4. In-between, the program spotlights the winner of this season's concerto competition, Erica Huang, who performs Dvorák's moving Cello Concerto. Comprised of Southern California's most talented young symphonic musicians, grades 9-12, PSYO is led by the Symphony's Assistant Conductor Roger Kalia, who says: “You will not see many high school youth orchestras perform works of this caliber at such a high level.” (more...)
