The York Theatre Company will honor Tony Award-winning musical theater icon Leslie Uggams (Hallelujah, Baby!, Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie) with the 2022 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater and Ted Chapin with The York Theatre Company Founders’ Award at the 30th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala.

“The Greatest Gift,” the first single, is out now. The original song, written and arranged especially for this album, celebrates peace and love at Christmas time. Andrea, Matteo and Virginia sing in growing harmony, while the music swells towards a rousing final chorus with a string orchestra and choir accompaniment.

​​​​​​Berkshire Theatre Group has announced casting for shows in BTG’s Late Summer 2022 Season. The full season will feature B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching, a world premiere play and an award recipient of the GRANTS FOR ARTS PROJECTS from the National Endowment for the Arts; Once, a Tony Award-winning musical; Songs For a New World, the first musical by a Tony Award winner; Dracula, a classic gothic tale of horrors; and Edward Albee's Seascape, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play. 

In addition to Brightman and Cerveris, the album includes songs from Paul Williams, Micky Dolenz, LaChanze, Christian Hoff, Alice Ripley, Constantine Maroulis, Emma Hunton, Donald Webber Jr., Morgan James, Michael Lanning, Donnie Kehr, and Isabelle Gottfried. Make Music Winter, a free outdoor musical celebration with exuberant and participatory parades, performances, and events throughout New York and in dozens of U.S. cities, will return on the Winter Solstice, Tuesday, December 21.   

The show-stopping rendition of Leonard Cohen’s classic “Hallelujah” marks Virginia Bocelli’s musical debut. Shoshana Bean is touring the world with her latest concert event 'Sing Your Hallelujah,' which plays tonight, December 13 at New York City's famed Apollo Theatre. Next up, she will take the show to Los Angeles' Immanuel Presbyterian Cathedral on December 18.

After the global pandemic forced Broadway and live concert venues to shutter last year, Bean is expanding her global reach and bringing her holiday concert, Sing Your Hallelujah, to Los Angeles on December 18 at Immanuel Presbyterian Cathedral.

Bean returns to the Apollo Theater on December 13 for her holiday concert, Sing Your Hallelujah. Joining her are some talented friends including 2020 Tony Award nominee, Tony and Olivier Award winner Gavin Creel, singer/songwriter Shayna Steele, and Gospel Artist Jason McGee & The Choir.
