Tell us a bit about your show.

My show is called Namaste Bitches. It's about my life as a yoga instructor and struggling with the desire to be the perfect fitness freak and the temptations of booze, food and drugs. All three of which I find just as wonderful as yoga.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

It's my favourite place in the world!!! I love Edinburgh and have been coming every year since I was a little open mic comedian in New York City. Being in such a heightened creative environment makes me want to be a better performer. When at the Edinburgh Fringe I feel inspired, stressed, happy, sad and content all at the same time. It brings up a lot of stuff and I love it for that reason alone.

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
If you've seen me before this show is quite a departure from my usual topics of sex and dating. There are also some surprises in Namaste Bitches that have nothing to do with yoga that I won't reveal in this interview because, well, they're SURPRISES!

I wrote a show about trying to find enlightenment and happiness through fitness. It's a topic I don't think too many other comedians are tackling at the moment. It's also a topic I think a lot of people can relate to.

Who would you recommend comes to see your show?
I want fun people at my show. Lovely, fun, free-wheeling, open-hearted people. If you've spent £100 on a juicer and now it sits collecting dust in you cabinet, this show is for you. If you are a dedicated gym rat who's up at 6am drinking protein shakes and doing bench presses, this shows for you. If the biggest work out you have all day is bicep curls while lifting your pint to your lips at the local pub, this show is DEFINITELY for you. Just show up ready to have a good time and you will. ;)

Are there any other performances you're hoping to catch at the festival?

Yes, my co-host of Spank! (at the Underbelly), James Loveridge, has been working on a great show - he's on at 9pm at Just the Tonic Mash House.

Tomás Ford is always one of my favourite cabaret acts to see at the Fringe - he's on at 5pm at the Gilded Balloon.

Rob Broadrick from Abandoman has a show this year that I'm stoked for on at 6pm at Assembly George Square.

Every year I make a list of shows I want to see and don't make it to so many because of time and work. So who's ever read this, see as much as possible! And you tell me what you recommend!
