Lamb's Players announced that West Side Story, their critically acclaimed musical hit, currently playing in Coronado, will extend until August 30th. The Nerd - previously scheduled to run from Aug 14 - Sep 20 moves to January/February 2016. Lamb's 2016 Season will begin in March.

Producing Artistic Director, Robert Smyth said "West Side Story is striking a chord with audiences much like LES MISERABLES did last summer. We are grateful to have such a fantastic cast of triple-threats - actor/singer/dancers. The combination of talented performers and a terrific orchestra with an intimate, visceral production is electric. Most performances are selling out.

So, we made the decision to move The Nerd into early 2016 to give West Side Story room to grow. Last year, we introduced more than 2,000 new households to Lamb's with LES MISERABLES. Numbers like that are important to the continued health of a non-profit theatre. Hopefully we'll see the same with West Side Story. "

West Side Story, with book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, is directed by Deborah Gilmour Smyth, with musical direction by Patrick Marion, choreography by Colleen Kollar Smith, and fight choreography by Jordan Miller.

West Side Story has now been extended through August 30th. Tue-Thu @ 7:30, Fri @ 8pm, Sat @ 4pm & 8pm, Sun @ 2pm. (No Tuesday performances after July) Tickets range from $28 to $82, depending on the seating section and day of the week. Discounts are available for Seniors (66 and up), Active Duty Military, Youth under 18 and Young Adults 18 to 34.
