The holiday masterpiece, A Christmas Carol, which opened on Broadway to rave reviews on November 20, 2019, has just broken the box office record at the Lyceum Theatre. Adapted by Jack Thorne and directed by Matthew Warchus, A Christmas Carol grossed $823,011 over eight performances for the week ending December 15. It tops the house record previously held by Oh, Hello, the Nick Kroll and John Mulaney comedy that grossed $804,513 for the week ending January 22, 2017.

Girl from the North Country begins performances on Friday, February 7 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street) with the opening night set for Thursday, March 5. Check out photos of the marquee!

Complete casting has been announced today for the Broadway production of the hit musical Girl from the North Country. Austin Scott, star of FX's a?oePosea?? and Hamilton, will join the company in the role of Joe Scott. Also announced are new ensemble members Jennifer Blood, Law Terrell Dunford, and Chiara Trentalange.

Reprising their roles from the production at The Public Theater will be Todd Almond, Jeannette Bayardelle, Matthew Frederick Harris, Caitlin Houlahan, Robert Joy, Tony Award nominee Marc Kudisch, Luba Mason, Ben Mayne, Tom Nelis, Tony Award nominee David Pittu, Colton Ryan, John Schiappa, Kimber Elayne Sprawl, Rachel Stern, Chelsea Lee Williams, and Tony/Academy Award nominee & two-time Emmy Award winner Mare Winningham. Acclaimed as a?oethe standout musical of the decadea?? by the UK's Sunday Times, a?oeMatilda The Musicala?? will make its debut in Hong Kong from September 20, 2019, at the Lyric Theatre, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, the producers have extended the run for two weeks until October 20, 2019.
