Jenna Pastuszek and Joshua Zecher-Ross willmake their Madison and Wisconsin debuts bringing the sold-out performance of ME, MYSELF & BARBRA: The Music that Made Barbara Barbra to Overture's Cabaret Series on Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m.

54 Below will present A Night of New Works, featuring selections from never-before-seen or heard musical theatre works! This evening will include the collaboration of both ‘new,’ and well-known artists, all presenting their unheard work.

Featuring an incredible cast of talented performers and a wide range of musical styles, from pop to Golden Age Broadway to contemporary musical theatre (and everything in between) this memorable evening will be hosted by Actor Therapy‘s Managing Director Mathieu Whitman (he/him) with musical director Jason Wetzel (he/him) at the piano.

Join Actor Therapy New Works (ATNW) and Very Intense Productions at 54 Below for a night in The Writers Room! Committed to bringing New Work to the stage, this concert will feature new musical theatre songs written by inspiring emerging writers and composers. Come support and celebrate Broadway’s works in progress!

In a Sunshine State, the newest production in SDSU’s New Musical Initiative will have its world premiere at the Main Stage Theatre at San Diego State University. 

Ryan shares about his artistic process as a composer, and how his work has been impacted by collaborations with other artists, including his husband, photographer Matthew Murphy. We talk about the shifting landscape of musical theater, and what it means to be queer in the world of the arts. He also touches on his incredible musical theater training program, Actor Therapy, co-created with Lindsay Mendez, and he shares about his latest project titled Party of the Century.

On December 1st, 2023, Actor Therapy New Works and Very Intense Productions will present an AEA 29-hour reading of Goliath, a new musical with book by Cassidy Layton (Severance) and music and lyrics by Ethan Carlson (Waitress), culminating in a small presentation for an invited audience at Open Jar Studios.

Experience the captivating world of 35mm: A Musical Exhibition, where photography and music intertwine to tell unique stories. Little Triangle presents this thrilling song cycle, featuring a range of musical styles and exploring themes of love, loss, and the human experience. Don't miss this underperformed musical at Flight Path Theatre from November 30 to December 9, 2023.

Sunday Stages Theatre Company, an up-and-coming theatre company based in Rochester, NY, has announced 35mm: A Musical Exhibition as their debut production.

On August 24, Ryan Scott Oliver's new musical folk horror, Tomorrow, the Island Dies will be presented for the first time in an intimate presentation at Open Jar Studios to an invited audience.
