As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Head Over Heels, the new musical comedy featuring the iconic songs of The Go-Go's - the most successful female rock band of all time - will play its final Broadway performance at Hudson Theatre (141 West 44th Street) this weekend, on Sunday, January 6, 2019. Before it goes forever however, the cast is opening up about the show's important message of love and acceptance. 'Head Over Heels presents a kind of utopian society, where love and authenticity reigns,' says cast member Rachel York. Rehearsals are underway for the Alliance Theatre's world premiere production of EVER AFTER. a musical based on the hit film that starred Drew Barrymore, starring Broadway favorite, Sierra Boggess!

LaMirada and McCoy Rigby Entertainment will present the award-winning and revolutionary 1776 THE MUSICAL, with musical direction by Jeff Rizzo and directed & staged by Glenn Casale. 1776 THE MUSICAL will begin previews on Friday, January 11, 2019 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 12 at 8pm) and runs through Sunday, February 3, 2019 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

Audiences have until next Sunday - December 23, to be precise - to experience what is likely to become a Music City holiday tradition: Peter Pan and Tinker Bell: A Pirate's Christmas at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's James K. Polk Theatre. A somewhat Americanized version of a peculiarly British seasonal entertainment, aka "panto," Peter Pan and Tinker Bell is a winning blend of theater, Christmas pageant, vaudeville and British music hall all rolled into one bright, shiny, kind of weird, but altogether fun and rather unique holiday-themed package that's a welcome addition to yuletide revelry.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present the newest Broadway sensation, Bonnie Milligan, who made her solo debut on Monday, November 26.

Independent artist collective - known as the Indie Collaborative - proudly made their debut public performance at the world famous Carnegie Hall at the Weill Recital Hall in New York City on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 8 PM. THE GREEN ROOM 42 will celebrate its landmark 500th show this weekend as Rachel York, currently starring on Broadway in the new musical Head Over Heels, performs her concert "Thank You for the Music" on Sunday, November 18 at 7:00 PM.

Since making her Broadway debut back in 1989, Rachel York has become of the most beloved leading ladies of the Great White Way. Now, in a one-night-only show, York is going to make you fall head over heels for her once again.

The cast of Head Over Heels will bring their beat to the 2018 Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS! The parade will be broadcast live from New York City beginning at 9 AM EST on Thursday, November 22. Head Over Heels joins previously announced Broadway cast performances by Dear Evan Hansen and King Kong. Kevin Frazier and correspondent Keltie Knight of 'Entertainment Tonight' will host the three-hour television special featuring portions of the 92nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Emmy Award-winning producers Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss ('The Tony Awards') serve as executive producers; Weiss will also direct.

The Broadway engagement of Mike Birbiglia's The New One, directed by Seth Barrish, officially opened last night, November 11 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street). BroadwayWorld was there, and you can check out photos from the red carpet below!

HEAD OVER HEELS is a neon-hued, cotton candy confection served with infectious cheer. While the cast album has all the polish that a studio recording can offer, Sony Masterworks Broadway's HEAD OVER HEELS (Original Broadway Cast Recording) lacks the effervescence and pizzazz of the live performances. It's a fun listen, but the sense of giddiness that comes from seeing it live is notably missing from the album.
