Vevo today announced that Kemosabe/RCA Records artist Doja Cat has been named their first LIFT artist of 2020, and has released a live performance of “Streets” off her new album Hot Pink. Vevo's LIFT initiative connects today's up-and-coming artists to audiences around the globe through video content. Launched in 2011, Vevo's artist development program shines a spotlight on the world's freshest new talent. The Academy of Country Music® announced today the nominations for the 55TH ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, Country Music's Party of the Year®, honoring the biggest names and emerging talent in the Country Music industry. Reigning ACM® Entertainer of the Year and 15-time ACM Award®-winner Keith Urban will host the show for the first time. The 55th ACM Awards® will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 5 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network, and will be available to stream live and on-demand across digital platforms on the CBS All Access subscription service.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe (WBTT) is pleased to present the seventh year of its annual Young Artist Program, through which Troupe members are able to showcase their talents with self-produced, one-person shows. The first Young Artist showcases of the 2019-2020 season, featuring popular WBTT artist Derric Gobourne Jr., take place Sunday, March 15 (this show is sold out) and Monday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m.

New Jersey-based pop punk/emo band Wave Break have released a music video for their new single 'Out Of Breath' via Ghost Killer Entertainment. The video comes just a week and half after the digital release, and the song quickly rose to become their fastest-streaming song on Spotify. The boisterous pop punk track is the band's first release since their 2018 debut EP 'Armory,' and is a rather personal release for lead vocalist Kelly Barber. Rounded out with bassist Ken Rapsas, Wave Break has underwent multiple lineup changes since their debut EP release. Barber's feelings of frustration fueled the creation of 'Out Of Breath,' and the result is a dynamic and emo rock powerhouse. The music video is a testament to the band's live energy, highlighting an emotionally-charged performance by Barber. Just their first release of the new year, Wave Break is gearing up to continue on through 2020 with a vast amount of momentum.

The romantic drama, starring Issa Rae and LaKeith Stanfield, arrives in theaters nationwide on Valentine's Day.

National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) today announced the nominees for the 2020 U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students who exemplify academic and artistic excellence. YoungArts is the sole nominating agency for this high honor and the 60 candidates, representing 16 states and nine artistic disciplines, are all YoungArts Winners. The students have been nominated to the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program for their artistic achievement on the heels of the organization's annual signature program, National YoungArts Week, which concluded in Miami on January 12.

The Grammy-nominated Moulin Rouge! The Musical Original Broadway Cast Recording released a vinyl on Friday, December 13. To celebrate, cast members Karen Olivo, Aaron Tveit, Sahr Ngaujah, Tam Mutu, Ricky Rojas and Robyn Hurder appeared at Sony Square NYC yesterday to sign copies of the vinyl and/or CD for fans.
