The Carnegie has announced the appointment of Matt Distel as its next Executive Director.  An accomplished curator and arts administrator, Matt Distel brings nearly 30 years of experience to the Executive Director position. Distel is stepping into this new role with a long history at The Carnegie and a decorated career leading community-centered arts organizations.  

The Rewards of Being Frank, currently running through March 26, 2023 at the Mezzanine Theatre at ART/New York Theatres is now available for streaming, also through March 26 only.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company announced the titles of their 2023-2024 30th Anniversary Season.

The Carnegie's Creative Disruption Series continues this spring with two new productions. This workshop series focuses on supporting new theatrical works created by local theatre-makers, especially works with surprising themes or storytelling structures. The next productions in the series include MULTI-SHELLED HERMIT CRAB by Aki Hosada and ALL'S FAIRE written by Alexx Rouse and Zach Robinson with music by James Allen. 

New York Classical Theatre and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will present the Off-Broadway premiere of the new play The Rewards of Being Frank, written by Alice Scovell and directed by New York Classical’s Stephen Burdman.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company has announced the titles of their 2022-2023 Season today. This announcement featured members of CSC's Artistic Visionary Circle: Producing Artistic Director, Brian Isaac Phillips; Associate Artistic Director, Crystian Wiltshire; and Director of Education, Candice Handy.

The 'Greatest Movie Musical of All Time' is set to be lovingly adapted for the stage, complete with an onstage rainstorm, in The Carnegie's production of SINGIN' IN THE RAIN this January. New York City based actor Logan Anthony will return to The Carnegie this winter to star as Don Lockwood in the stage adaptation of the beloved movie musical SINGIN' IN THE RAIN.

Join local actor, singer, songwriter, and playwright Hannah Gregory and friends for NOVEMBER BLUE, an evening of classic folk, rock, and americana songs, as well as original songs from her musicals Descent: A Murder Ballad and Wuthering, that pay homage to the natural world, the exploration of identity, and the female experience.

The Carnegie has announced that Tyler Gabbard has been named Theatre Director of The Carnegie’s Otto M. Budig Theatre. Along with this news comes the unveiling of an exciting season of musicals that offers something for everyone to enjoy.

It has won numerous awards and became the unofficial soundtrack to a generation whose voice was begging to be heard… And now, RENT will take the stage at The Carnegie this June and will run through August. Performances will take place July 16 through August 26.

The Cincinnati Arts Association has announced the winners of its Overture Awards Competition, held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Aronoff Center’s Jarson-Kaplan Theater, and the winner of its Arts Educator Award for Excellence in Arts Instruction.

The Carnegie will continue its 2021-22 Theatre Series with the beloved Rodgers & Hammertstein musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC, playing on the Otto M. Budig stage weekends Jan. 29 – Feb. 13, 2022.

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati will reopen its doors for a five-show 2021-2022 Season, reprising its production of the 2018 Obie Award-winning play Pipeline by Dominique Morisseau. In addition to Pipeline, ETC will present Cinderella, Queen, a double bill of I Shall Not Be Moved and Your Negro Tour Guide, and Tiny Beautiful Things.
