Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is pleased to announce more details on the 13th Annual production of the beloved holiday classic "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and Then Some!)" December 14- 30, 2018 directed again by Jeremy Dubin. "Every Christmas Story Ever Told" is sponsored by Messer, Raymond James, and Thompson Hine.

Quasimodo, the misshapen bell-ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral, longs to join the city of Paris during the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the Archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful gypsy, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn't the only one captivated by her free spirit, though - the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the gypsies - and it's up to Quasimodo to save them all.

Cincinnati Music Hall received the Historic Theater of the Year award from Heritage Ohio at its Annual Preservation and Revitalization Awards Ceremony held Tuesday, October 23 at the historic Allen Theater in downtown Cleveland.

"1984" runs October 12 - November 3, and is directed by Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips and features Resident Ensemble Members Justin McCombs and Sara Clark. This regional debut production will feature a revolutionary multimedia design by Brave Berlin, the Founding Creative Directors of Blink and LumenoCity, of light and sound that will create an immersive Orwellian theatrical experience!  This production is generously sponsored by The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Budig Theater in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati's home for the classics is turning to a new genre of classics: the classic musical. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, September 7-29, 2018 with a book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, will be directed by CSC's Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips and features longtime ensemble member Matthew Lewis Johnson in the principal role. The production is generously sponsored by Fifth Third Bank and Construction Process Solutions Limited.

The University Press of Kentucky has partnered with Kentucky Humanities on its new statewide literacy project, Kentucky Reads: All the King's Men. The program will use Robert Penn Warren's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel to guide a statewide conversation on contemporary populism and political discourse and their relationship to journalism. With funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities, Kentucky Humanities will host a series of community discussions and events centered on Warren's celebrated work and what it can teach us today.

In January, Cincinnati was selected by the New York Times for its prestigious 52 Places To Go annual feature, a list of must-see locations around the world that inspire its readers' wanderlust. For the first time ever, the nation's largest daily newspaper has also selected a 52 Places Traveler who will report from the road as she visits each and every location on the list throughout 2018. The Cincinnati stop is planned for May when the 52 Places Traveler Jada Yuan will join New York Times veteran reporter John Eligon for a one-night-only special event, Wednesday, May 9 titled Destination Cincinnati- And Beyond. Cincinnati is the first city to host an exclusive event in conjunction with the 52 Places designation honor.
