The evening will feature Broadway's most sought-after talent singing fresh, original approaches-pop, soul, R&B, rock and more-of holiday songs off New York City Christmas the album, available for purchase at the concert. ALL proceeds from tickets to the show and album sales go to supporting ASTEP's mission to connect performing and visual artists with underserved youth in the U.S. and around the world to awaken their imaginations, foster critical thinking, and help them break the cycle of poverty. The 25th anniversary celebration of GYPSY OF THE YEAR, the culmination of six weeks of extraordinary fundraising by 56 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and national touring companies, raised an amazing $4,343,234 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The grand total was announced Tuesday, December 10, at this year's GYPSY OF THE YEAR, which included an array of original dances, songs, and skits performed by more than 250 'gypsies,' the most talented singers and dancers in the ensembles of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. Mary-Louise Parker, David Hyde Pierce & More Set for Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew Holiday Benefit Today; Victoria Clark Hosts

Upper West Siders, Victoria Clark, Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Ricky Ian Gordon, Kelli O'Hara, Greg Naughton, and David Hyde Pierce are joined by other Broadway favorites, Kimilee Bryant, Brian Cross, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Lindsay Mendez, Mary Louise Parker, and Cantor Ari Priven along with singer-songwriter Jane Kelly Williams to celebrate the holidays and raise funds for much needed repairs for the historic Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew. Tonight, the church will be filled with song and jubilee from this star-studded cast. The benefit is produced by Gina Boonshoft and directed by Barbara Grecki. The 25th anniversary edition of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' Gypsy of the Year Competition will be presented Monday, December 9 (4:30 PM) and Tuesday, December 10 (2 PM) at the Minskoff Theatre (1515 Broadway). The show will feature performances by New York's best actors, singers, dancers, and musicians with several guest appearances, including Tyne Daly, Cherry Jones, Ian McKellen, Mark Rylance, and Patrick Stewart.
