Ready to act, sing, and dance with the pros? BroadwayCon announces the lineup of workshops available at the 2020 convention. BroadwayCon workshops are led by some of the top Broadway talent, including Justin Guarini, Fredi Walker-Browne, Brittany Johnson, and more, focusing on honing your craft or learning a new skill.

With the roaring twenties fast approaching, it's time to reflect on all the shows that made an impact on us over the last decade, and on what we would like to see on stage in the decade to come. The 2010s gave us some groundbreaking new shows - Hamilton, Hadestown, Waitress - incredible revivals - Oklahoma, The Color Purple, Pippin - and breakout stars - Ben Platt, Alex Brightman, Cynthia Erivo, just to name a few. So many shows that graced the stage in the 2010s made lasting impact on audiences. Let's take a look at what shows we'd like to see a revival of in the 2020s!

 BroadwayCon 2020 welcomes Broadway star and musician Justin Guarini to the special guest lineup! As part of his first-ever appearance at the convention, Guarini will lead an audition technique workshop. The full slate of workshops will be unveiled this Friday. On Monday, November 4th at 7pm Broadway comes to Doylestown as the Central Bucks West High School Choir presents Broadway Night. The event is hosted by renowned CB West Alumna and Broadway star Jenny Lee Stern (A Christmas Story, Rocky), who is taking a night off from her current show, Forbidden Broadway, to host the event. Joining Ms. Stern this year is Central Bucks East Alumnus Justin Guarini, well known for his success on American Idol. Mr. Guarini went on to Broadway where he performed in Wicked and American Idiot and continues to be active in the entertainment industry. Stern and Guarini will be joined by Mr. Gregg Brandt (Les Mis, Tale of Two Cities) and Mr. J. Mark McVey (Les Mis). The program will be directed by CB West Choir Director, Dr. Joseph Ohrt (Amazing Grace), accompanied by Karen Burgman (Amazing Grace) on piano and Mr. Christopher Smith (Amazing Grace) will act as Master of Ceremonies.

Jason Robert Brown has revealed his next guest joining him in residency at SubCulture and it is none other than Tony winner herself, Betty Buckley. Buckley is set for three appearances, November 23rd, 24th and 25th.

The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (LS BID) announced today that the iconic Ronnie Spector and The Ronettes will headline the main stage at Dante Park (Broadway and 63rd Street) and help light up the Upper West Side at the 20th Annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square. New York's largest holiday festival kicks off with the Upper West Side's only tree lighting ceremony on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 5:30 p.m.

Ariana DeBose and Sara Niemietz will join Jason Robert Brown at SubCulture! The show takes place on Monday, October 14 at 7pm.
