Bucks County Playhouse Youth Company will remount their original production Alien8 this summer!

During a morning kick-off event, Bucks County Playhouse has announced the titles and directors for its 2023 season, which will officially launch May 19. This is the Playhouse’s 84th season, and the 11th since reopening in 2012.

Celebrating the overall success of The Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship season, Bucks County Playhouse will create and produce an all-new production of Ray Didinger's autobiographical play, “Tommy and Me,” at the Playhouse in New Hope, May 19 to June 20. Nick Corley will direct.

Running now through January 1, 2023, the book is written by Colin Escott and it is directed by Hunter Foster, who starred in the original production of “Million Dollar Quartet” on Broadway. This new Christmas version is inspired by the imagined story of four music icons who gather for an all-night jam session. 

The costume department at Bucks County Playhouse will open its wardrobe room for a holiday sale — offering a wide collection of festive frocks, and everyday ready-to-wear clothing, for sale to the public on Saturday, December 3 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. A special invitation-only preview night will be on Friday, December 2.  

Audiences are invited to relive one of the most magical nights in rock and roll history — but this time with a decidedly festive twist — when Bucks County Playhouse presents a special holiday version of the musical “Million Dollar Quartet Christmas.”

Bucks County Playhouse’s production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber–Tim Rice musical “Evita” continues through October 30. The Playhouse released a montage of scenes from the production—including portions of 'Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” and “And the Money Kept Rolling In (And Out)”. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that a private reading was held last week for the Broadway-aimed musical Working Girl. The reading was presented Friday at Pearl Studios, and was presented by Cyndi Lauper, Theresa Rebeck and Christopher Ashley for producers Robyn Goodman, Josh Fiedler and Kumiko Yoshii.
