The Griswolds are heading out on their next family vacation with the world premiere of the laugh-out-loud musical comedy The Griswolds’ Broadway Vacation, and The 5th Avenue Theatre has shared a sneak peek at rehearsals. Get a first look inside rehearsals below!

Rehearsals are officially underway for Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Cost of Living, written by Martyna Majok (Sanctuary City, Ironbound) and directed by Obie Award winner Jo Bonney (72 Miles to Go..., By The Way, Meet Vera Stark). The company just met the press and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the big day! The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced that Broadway's Kate Rockwell (Mean Girls, Bring it On: The Musical, Legally Blonde) and Hunter Foster (Little Shop of Horrors, The Producers, The Bridges of Madison County) will star as Ellen and Clark Griswold in the upcoming world premiere of the laugh-out-loud new musical comedy The Griswolds' Broadway Vacation.

The national tour of FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME will play Pasadena Playhouse July 12-August 7, 2022. The 90-minute show is created nightly with the audience and no two shows are ever the same.

The Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced that FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME founding member, producer, and Pulitzer Prize, Grammy®, Emmy®, and Tony Award® Winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, In the Heights, Disney’s Encanto) will join the national tour of FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME as a special guest at the 8 p.m. performance on June 10, 2022.

Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart will be appearing in FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME during its engagement at the Kimmel Cultural Campus in Philadelphia. James will be in the show June 7-11 (he will not be in the show on the 12th). 

Red Bull Theater is presenting the streaming broadcast of their acclaimed all-female production of Mac Beth, adapted and directed by Erica Schmidt from Shakespeare, for two weeks only beginning today, Monday May 16th. Seattle Rep today announced complete casting of its world-premiere production of Bruce, the new musical is based on Carl Gottlieb’s The Jaws Log, a novel about the making of the iconic film. Bruce will perform on the Bagley Wright stage from May 27-June 26, 2022, and will celebrate its official opening night on June 8.

The Griswolds’ Broadway Vacation, The Musical will make its debut this fall at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre from September 10 – October 1, followed by an engagement at Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars from October 25 – November 6 prior to its arrival on Broadway (date and theatre to be announced).
