FOX Gives Straight-To-Series Order to Contemporary Version of FANTASY ISLAND

FOX has given a straight-to-series order to a contemporary version of the iconic drama FANTASY ISLAND, from Liz Craft and Sarah Fain (“The 100,” “The Shield,” “Lie to Me”), to air in Summer 2021, it was announced today by Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment, FOX Entertainment.

Imagine Kids+Family and Imagine Documentaries has formed a multi-format partnership with Rebel Girls, the global entertainment brand best known for its best-selling book series Good Night Stories and its award-winning podcast of the same name. Lyric has announced full casting for its production of 42nd Street, to be presented May 29 - June 21, 2020, at the Lyric Opera House, 20 N. Wacker Drive, Chicago. Previously announced Broadway stars Norm Lewis (Julian Marsh) and Faith Prince (Dorothy Brock) are joined by Isabelle McCalla (Peggy Sawyer), who recently starred in Broadway's The Prom and Aladdin, and Ashley Day (Billy Lawlor), who reprises his role from the West End revival of 42nd Street.

Nickelodeon is setting off into new territory with the greenlight of The Astronauts (working title), a brand-new, live-action series following a group of kids who embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they are mistakenly launched into space. Marking Nickelodeon's first production with Imagine Kids+Family, The Astronauts (10 episodes) is currently in production in Vancouver, Canada, with a premiere slated for this summer.

THERE WAS AN OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A BOOK by Jomike Tejido was an absolute delight. It begins with the traditional Old Woman from the tales. Her children are missing, so she leaves her home (Which is shaped like A BOOK! If you love books about books, you're going to be head-over-heels for this artwork) and goes to visit her neighbors to see if the kids went next door to visit the three bears from Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
