BAMtheatre Announces BAM @ A DISTANCE - SCHOOL'S OUT EDITION!

In response to the stay-at-home and social distancing orders implemented by the COVID-19 pandemic, BAMtheatre has reimagined its musical theatre-focused programming through a host of virtual master classes, workshops, choirs and other activities to keep students connected. This new sector of programming is called a??BAM @ a Distance.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater has announced the expansion of its online programs and events through August 2020. Arena Artistic Director Molly Smith has curated a diverse and engaging Spring/Summer Season, Looking Forward, connecting artists and audiences locally and nationally.

Mark Cortale announced today that Seth Rudetsky's internationally acclaimed Broadway concert series that first began in Provincetown at The Art House in 2011 will debut as a weekly virtual series entitled The Seth Concert Series. Hosted by beloved musical director and Sirius XM Star Seth Rudetsky, the first event will take place on Sunday, May 31 and will feature Tony award-winning actress Kelli O'Hara. Stage and screen favorites Jeremy Jordan and Jessie Mueller will headline the following two weeks. Each weekly show will premiere Sunday nights at 8PM EST with a second showing Mondays at 3PM EST for viewers in other time zones like the UK. The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization announced today the launch of their new YouTube live stream series, R&H Goes Live!, a spinoff of their existing R&H Goes Pop! video series. The ongoing series will feature some of Broadway's best performing stripped-down, contemporary versions of iconic Rodgers & Hammerstein tunes.

On February 7th, students from schools from all over the country and Mexico arrived at Fullerton College for a truly unique musical theatre experience. Friday's opening ceremony began with welcoming words from Christopher J. Hanke, and the MTCA team as well as an open call dance and vocal audition to provide students with an opportunity to be cast in Saturday's finale Production Number.
