Bay area-native and Noe Valley resident, singer, songwriter and musician, Rachel Garlin premieres her video reimagining the Don Henley classic, “Boys of Summer” via Guitar Girl Magazine this week.  The video features an acoustic performance by Garlin, her producer Julie Wolf and Kate Isenberg.  The trio of women turn the nostalgic summer love song on its head and their performance gives the song a feminine perspective.

Versatile singing actress Lauren Turner releases an EP on Broadway Records and a music video on Youtube and gives all the monies earned to charity. Yes Ma'am.

Club44 Records has announced the release of Loves Notes, the new album from LINDA LAVIN - the Tony Award and Golden Globe winning and Emmy Award nominated stage and screen legend - on Friday, March 27.

Today, Bat For Lashes, aka Natasha Khan, shares the live EP The Boys of Summer recorded in November 2019 at Earth, London. Following her critically acclaimed fifth studio album Lost Girls (which came out this Fall on AWAL Recordings), the 4-track EP features a stripped-down cover of Don Henley's “The Boys of Summer,” a twinkling music box rendition of “Daniel” from Khan's second studio album, Two Suns, as well as two tracks from Khan's critically acclaimed album Lost Girls - a gorgeous, piano-led version of “Desert Man,” and a haunting version of “The Hunger” with Khan on the organ.

The 2020 MusiCares® Person of the Year Aerosmith will perform live at the tribute concert in their honor, with Russell Brand as the event's host. GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Melissa Etheridge and past GRAMMY Award nominees Nuno Bettencourt, Jessie J and Kesha join the concert lineup with previously announced performers Cheap Trick, Gary Clark Jr., Alice Cooper, Gavin Degraw, Johnny Depp, Foo Fighters, Luis Fonsi, Sammy Hagar, H.E.R., Jonas Brothers, Emily King, John Legend, John Mayer, Ashley McBryde, LeAnn Rimes, and Yola. Premium network EPIX® has announced that its two-part doc series Laurel Canyon will premiere Sunday, May 31st at 10p.m., and conclude the following Sunday, June 7th at 10p.m.  Directed by Alison Ellwood (History of the Eagles), the series features an intimate portrait of the artists who created a music revolution through a wealth of rare and newly unearthed footage and audio recordings.

With a 20th anniversary goal of pushing its two-decade total past $6 million in its ongoing battle against Parkinson's disease, LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST 2020: THE 20th ANNIVERSARY is returning to Montclair for the sixth consecutive year on Friday, Jan. 10, for LIGHT OF DAY NORTH JERSEY from the world-renowned Light of Day Foundation.
