This summer, Midnight Theatre presents 'KTP's Juke Joint Jubilee,' a monthly concert series featuring the sultry soul and blues inspired vocals of the magnetic Kyle Taylor Parker. Each month, Parker will present a fresh playlist highlighting traditional blues music made famous by the likes of Dinah Washington and Nina Simone, as well as uniquely reworked arrangements of songs from today’s Top 100.

Joffrey Ballet Concert Group to Present New Works in February

The Joffrey Ballet Concert Group, under the artistic direction of Bradley Shelver, will appear in all new works, Feb. 16-18 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater. Shelver has created two new works for the event, 12th Room and Random People With Beautiful Parts, and the program will also see two new works by young dancemakers Lindsay Grymes and Eric Trope, recipients of the first Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative, a new program of the Joffrey Ballet Concert Group.

NYC Jazz Artist Sweet Megg Releases New Single 'Trouble in Mind'

“Trouble in Mind” (which preceded the 1955 off-Broadway play by the same name), is an early jazz standard born out of vaudeville, written as a blues-style song by jazz pianist Richard M. Jones in 1924. Megg recorded her My Window Faces the South album at The Studio Nashville under engineer Roger Moutenot. Listen to the new single now!
